Day two (Jan 21) starts off well with me getting up to Mickey's wake up call.. even though I'm pretty tired. But I'm determined to take advantage of extra magic hour!! LOL
Just dressed quickly, ate a donut (that I'd brought), and filled the mug with soda while waiting for the bus. Only had to wait until 7:20am even though they said they don't run until 7:30am.

It's off to MGM Studios today! I was there at 7:40am but not let in until 8am on the dot. I was supposed to try to meet up with Poopie for this EMH -but I didn't see her anywhere. I also didn't have a green ribbon on. :(
In line I just HAPPENED to be directly behind Califlady who I had not met on this board but in talking realized that the person (Poopie) that I was supposed to try to meet that day was one she had gotten together with at SeaWorld the day before! (I was invited but since I was only doing WDW with no transportation- I had to decline the invite.)

Anyway, she's a really nice gal and we decided to run around together for atleast awhile- see how things go. We were both going solo!

Together we rode ToT, RnR, Star Tours, saw Muppets 3-D (which I enjoyed better without atleast 2 of my kids freaking out the entire time), Sounds Dangerous-Drew Carey (interesting.. but I could see how it might bore a lot of people. I like Drew though), Beauty & the Beast (ohmy... really wishing the kids had seen this. But the lines were just astronomical the day we spent in MGM! :( ), then RnR again (this time in front- you must do it in front. LOL).
Then we seperated because I had really wanted to do the Great Movie ride (hadn't done it yet- ever) and the line was kinda long by the time we got around to it and she wanted to do Millionaire which I had no interest in doing again- atleast not at this point. I'm glad we got to spend part of the day together though... had fun Califlady! And so great to meet you. :)

Soo... after we parted- I decided instead of waiting in that line that I was hungry. That donut that morning just didn't do it for me. LOL Tried going to the commissary but their menu online is wrong and they don't have teriyaki chicken anymore. :( So I decide to check out that Sci-Fi restaurant and although there seemed to be a lot of people waiting around for a table- I had no PS and only waited about 3 minutes (LOL- is that a wait?) for a table. Perhaps because they were a large group? Maybe going solo isn't so bad after all........
LOL
I had steak, potatoes, green beans w/Red Lava to drink (delicious but didn't taste like it had any alchohol in it. Maybe it didn't- didn't matter though) $33

Then did Backlot Tour, Walt Disney One Man's Dream (sniff sniff, love that man), Magic of Disney Animation (very interesting!! Especially how on earth do they work with people watching them? I so could NOT do that. LOL), and then...... the Great Movie Ride. Which was great- but contrary to popular belief it does contain action stuff that would scare a 5yr old and a 2yr old- atleast mine. Guess it was good they weren't with me huh? :) LOL

10-20 min maximum wait on all except GMR had 30min wait. I left at 3:15 to avoid the parade because I had already seen it and taped it in the previous trip.
Lonnnng walk to the bus stop but @ resort quickly by 4pm.
I had carried my mug around with me all day (after I had emptied it I had tied it to the string that hangs off the backpack I was using) so I refilled it on the way to my room and warmed up the steak/potatoes I had take with me (I could only eat half of it at that time!!!)- also got a Miami Vice drink for later on the way by. Also grabbed the pin from the front desk that DMRick had made for me (ain't she a doll???) and had dropped off that day since it was the day she checked in at ASMu.
Ate by 4:30pm (took that long to get to my room and get settled to eat. LOL) and my toe blisters from the last trip hadn't COMPLETELY healed obviously. They were starting to feel tender already. I had done a lot of walking across MGM park and back and back again though.. not exactly all organized. LOL Got to messing with my toes and pulled some skin on my big toe and made it bleed.
I only tell you that because that darn toe bled and hurt for the entire rest of my trip!! Ugh, what a maroon I am to have done that. LOL

Showered -then called husband and kids to talk a bit- then took the bus to DTD (arrived by 7:30pm). Picked up my LaNouba ticket (purchased on phone through Disney but was will call ticket) and tthen had some time to kill... Disneyquest is free for me with PAP so why not? LOL
So I was there just a little while- but the very first thing I did was Alladdin's Magic Carpet and I recommend you do NOT do this if you have just showered and fixed your hair to go somewhere. LOL Talk about messing up a hairdo.....

So I go to LaNouba and had a great seat! (had paid for preferred or whatever they call it) Absolutely perfect seating... second section but first row- so the only thing in front of me was the walkway until the next section of people. This is a big thing because I'm short and sitting behind others in a not-very inclined row seating can be a nightmare- in other words I can't see anything but the back of someone's head. LOL But this was awesome! Seated next to a couple (only 3 seats right there) and talked with them awhile. (oh also got the souvenier mug and popcorn $8.50 with 2 souveniers to take home. :) )

Show was great- seemed way more "kid friendly" than the other Cirque DuSoleil shows I and both my husband and I had seen before. I think the kids might really enjoy it and actually make it through the whole thing without squirming in their seats... so now I'm kicking myself for seeing it alone. LOL Ofcourse...

Bus ride back was quick but packed and I had to stand again.. praying I wouldn't squash someone. I didn't. LOL
Back to the room at 11:30pm (could not refill mug as I hadn't taken it with me. Bought another $1 12oz soda from the machine- too tired to walk back and forth for that free drink)

Tried to go to sleep a little earlier than usual for me (which obviously means before my normal earliest bedtime of 4am. LOL) but in doing so- I neglected to turn off the tv or turn it down very low atleast. You will see why this is important tomorrow. LOL

on to day three......

Isn't it fun to meet other Disers? Seems that you've known them forever. :)

Your trip report is very good :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Each time I have been to WDW, me and my family have always bought the refillable mugs. We always make sure we get our moneys worth :) I have always been close to a place where we could get them refilled. I'm not sure if I would buy them if I had to walk really far:confused:

Can't wait to read the rest of your trip report :)
