Welly well now.. I wake up late. I'm not sure if I just didn't get my wake up call at all or if I just didn't hear it well enough to wake me up because I'd fallen asleep without turning the tv off or down really low. The alarm clock was still going though- and it was 7:15am!!
Sooo wanted to do the extra magic hour though- so I just rush out of there as quick as I can and hurried to the bus at 8am. Got to Epcot at 8:15am -then couldn't find my hotel key/card! Where oh where is it... searching and searching until finally she lets me in without it. But darnit, that means I'll have to run on cash all day since I can't charge on that card and I didn't bring a lot with me. :( It also just really bugs me because I can't figure out where I lost it- but I try not to let it bug me. :)

Did Spaceship Earth (for the first time- remember most of this stuff is all for the first time- things I didn't do on the first trip)- and I liked it... but some of you are right, it is a bit of a strain on the neck at one point going backwards at a decline and no soft headrest!, Ellen's Energy Adventure (enjoyed it but I think it would be too long for the kids and then after taking so long the ride might scare the youngest- so again, guess it's good they aren't with me! LOL), The Making of Me (interesting- but nothing I didn't already know ofcourse. LOL), Circle of Life (another one I'm bummed the kids haven't seen- YET!), then ate an early lunch since I'd run to the bus without breakfast!
@Sunshine Season Food Fair (chicken & ribs- which were good but I couldn't eat but about half of it LOL, corn on the cob, coleslaw which I was really looking forward to but it had a weird taste to me... too much onions? $10.53 but I FORGOT ...... ugh.... TOTALLY FORGOT to use my discount with my PAP. *sigh*)
Then on to The Living Seas (enjoyed it- and so will my kids next time), Innoventions West (sent email postcards to my sister and my oldest daughter), then over to Showcase -starting on Canada side.
Watched O'Canada (really liked this 360* movie!!), listened awhile to the band Off Kilter, saw the acrobats Kristo, got a pic of ME with Pooh & Tigger in the UK section (just had to... had Pooh on my shirt at the time LOL), then saw the World Showcase Players: Live Comedy Show in France. While in France I got a pic of me with Beauty & the Beast (just a short wait for them to come out) and ofcourse autographs for the kids. *grin* and then back over because I had a PS for the ice cream social @ the Garden Grill soon.
It was great -although I felt a little embarrassed to be alone. That was one of the first and rare times I felt weird about this. But eventually I relaxed about it because I really couldn't see anyone else there and the thing never did rotate enough where I would be "displayed" for those in the whole building. It moved very very slowly. :) The CM was GREAT though- the best I'd met so far and he went out of his way to make me feel comfortable being alone... maybe he noticed my uncomfortableness? Not sure. But he certainly helped me figure out what the characters were wanting from me... which was to sit down with me and have their pics taken with me and some of them wanted to sign the autograph book- which was fine even though I had their autographs already... I just had them sign things different to my children (like Happy Birthday to my daughter since her birthday was coming up soon and 'to my buddy' for my son.. since he is really into the "buddy" thing. Btw, I'M his best buddy ever, and don't you forget it. LOL)

So I left happy, and a hefty tip for the awesome CM. :)

More rambling around the showcase- window shopping (but not buying anything just yet) and looking at pins but not finding any I wanted to trade for the kids leftover duplicate pins... I didn't really write down a lot for the rest of the evening and can't remember everything. Sorry. LOL

I headed back to the resort around 7:30pm and I filled up the refillable mug (are you keeping count on how many times I did this? LOL) & had to go get another key to my room.. since I couldn't get in there without one. I picked up chicken quesadillas and fries at the food court ($9.16 I believe) and then in the room -there was my key right on the bed. I guess I had neglected to put it in my backpack at the last minute. *sigh* But it wasn't any good anymore- so I tossed it in the trash.
Called my husband and the kids and talked awhile- also making sure I had my daughter look on my computer for the email postcard I'd sent to myself for HER. LOL
It was around 9pm by that time and I decided not to go back out. The Lifetime movies are way too interesting and they are keeping me up late! (I should note that the first night I did watch all the Disney information channels- but quickly learned all there was to learn on that and from then on the tv stayed on the Lifetime channel. LOL)
I got another $1 soda from the machine also.
journal ramblings:
I seriously need a haircut. For our previous WDW trip I had gotten my haircut the DAY we drove out and I had asked her not to cut it as short as usual because I didn't have a "week or two" for it to grow out to perfect length where it will behave the best. I wanted it behaving ON that trip! LOL So needless to say- almost a month later having not been cut as short as usual... and my hair grows really fast... it was long enough to bug me. So I start thinking since MK is on for the next day- maybe I'll just wear a cap during Extra magic hour and then get my hair cut there. (I call the front desk to make sure they cut women's hair and not just men/boys and babies first haircuts. LOL)

Stayed up late because I just couldn't miss the end of that last Lifetime movie. *sigh* But I have Mickey's wake up call set again (and alarm) to try to get up again for EMH.

on to the next day......

I am pooped reading it.......glad that you have been kept busy.....am anxious to read more......

You reallly are having an awesome time solo!

We have been experiencing "near misses" with one another for awhile now! Our big Christmas trip with the kids and extended family , and then DD and I returned WITHOUT kids Jan 20-25. The difference in crowds was unbelievable, don't you think????? I too, tried to do everything we had not done during the Christmas trip (which was mostly stuff at Epoct since Christmas had been the first time I'd ever spent much time there). I mean, WOW, in January we were able to enter MGM studios at 3:30 pm and WALK-ON the big rides! We couldn't do Early Entry since we were in conferences all day  --but it was OK! since the crowds were sooooo light!:p

Really have enjoyed reading your posts, and I am going to go find your Christmas adventure!

Wow... we really ARE missing one another over and over. We couldn't have done that on purpose if we tried!!! HAHAHAHA

Major difference in the amount of park guests and it really DOES make a huge difference in how you are able to enjoy yourself, pace yourself instead of running around like chickens trying to get rides done and FPs before they run out, etc. I don't think I'll EVER go at a non-value season again!
