I probably wouldn't spend the money going with spouse (maybe spouse in the future, but he's lacto-ovo vegetarian and I don't see it being worth it for him)or family or freinds, but I'm doing my first solo trip in December this year. I'll be there for a week. The cost of one deluxe plan wouldn't be that bad and I could try the signature restaurants which I only have done a few of them in the past. I would like that experience, but I don't need to do it. I'm a basic, simple type person and food to me is food, more or less. Back home, going to Applebee's is considered high class. I like everything Disney and I'm thinking if I'm ever going to try the better dinner places then going solo would be the cheapest proposition for it. I'm having mixed feelings, here.
I'm having an issue being alone for all these meals. My plan was to do counter service, food court, and a few table service meals (at group settings like Biergarten and/or Teppan Edo); so, I can see the Candlelight Processional. I would be fine with this eating arrangement. I feel it affords more time doing the parks. Sit down meals do take a lot longer to do.
If you were me, would you do the deluxe plan knowing all the above?
