I am comfortable traveling solo - do it for work often as well as a few solo WDW trips but this will be my first solo trip to Universal, well family is meeting me after two days solo so its a nice mix.

I am fairly familiar with Universal been a few times but not for about 3 years, staying at HRH and looking for evening ideas especially live entertainment if offered.

Is there a link/website showing this type of thing at City walk or the resorts?

Any advice ideas would be appreciated! TIA

Thanks - that's a bit ambitious for me :)

I am wondering if all/most of the bars have live music and if so what time it usually starts.

lol its not for the faint of heart.....I know for sure that a mariachi band comes on stage a few times a night at Antojito's and I'm pretty sure Margaritaville has a stage for live music, but not sure the frequency.

There will probably be live music somewhere. I find the later it is, the more hopping city walk gets.

I guess it could also depend on the day of the week, but I am positive, you can find something interesting going on.

The place can be a madhouse around the closing of the parks.

If you plan to eat there, definitely keep that in mind.

Thanks! and it will be Sat & Sun so I guess the odds are in my favor. As for eating I don't mind a meal at a bar now and then and iirc I can get priority seating with my onsite (HRH) stay.

I go solo frequently and always enjoy Rising Star Karaoke. On weekends there is a live band and back-up singers.
