I am heading to WDW 27th-1st for the Leap Year event. I am very excited and just starting to plan out my days. Any ideas from anyone?

I"m thinking of heading down there for leap day. Will stay 28th-1st more than likely.

Hi! I too am heading down for my first solo trip 2/27-3/2. My (very basic) plan for Leap Day...I have an old, non-expiring PH ticket that has 1 day left on it (I have tickets for my other days), and I plan on using this PH ticket on 2/29. I want to be at MK for the 6am opening, hang out for a while and possibly check out AK during the day since I don't have AK in my plan for the rest of the week (and possibly go to DHS and EP as well that day-have never gone to all 4 parks in one day-check off on the bucket list), go back to the resort, nap/swim/relax and be ready to pull an all-nighter (or at least as long as I can last) at MK. Planning on sleeping in the next day and having a nice EP World Showcase evening with at least 3 Grand Marnier Slushies.

Now, I am thinking this all out, but I haven't done any research yet on what special stuff is happening on Leap Day or what the crowds may be, etc.

Have fun!

*Update-I ended up splurging (a little bit more) and upgraded my tickets to park hoppers, I was able to snag a lunch at Le Cellier so I will tool around a little and then go back to the resort to rest up for the evening. Hope everyone has a great time!

My sister & I are both going from the 27th to the 1st also! =)

Have you thought of what you are doing yet, I planned on epcot say one dinner at nine dragon
Animal kingdom then head to Hollywood studios
Magic kingdom leap day ( not sure of crowds) so I may just stay all day and night.
Airport at 5 on the 1st! Tired for work Friday!

I'm staying at all star sports good enough sine my bags will be all alone for the three days :-)

As soon as I get confirmation I can get off later this week. I'm booking my trip. Will probably stay at POP since I won't be in hotel that much.

I'm going solo for Leap Day as well! 2/24-2/29 at POFQ. Of course I planned my trip before Disney announced anything for the 24hrs and by that time flights had gone waaaaaaaaaaay up :headache:

I'm there that week. I have not yet decided exactly what I'm doing when (other than night rides on Everest on 2/25), but am considering a Monorail Bar Hop on the 29th.

I would be down for a monorail bar hop!! Will have to start early since they close at 12am lol!!

I decided about 3 weeks ago to go for Leap Day. It will be my second solo trip to WDW.

I had originally planned on 2/28 - 3/1 and made plans accordingly. Staying at ASM. Then I filed my tax returns and realized how much I am getting back and decided to extend my trip, because coming home on 1/1 after being up all night and then going to work the next day would be crazy... So, I upped it to 3/3. (what a fiasco THAT was with the Disney Reservations person...)

I am planning on hitting AK on the 28th then doing Epcot at night (dinner res at Via Napoli! AWESOME food) then going to sleep as soon as I get back to the hotel to be up for the 6am opening of MK so I can get some fast passes. (Breakfast at Crystal Palace). More Fast passes, then I'll probably go over to Hollywood Studios for a while. Go to the hotel and nap so I can be in MK from about 7pm until 6am the next morning :)

I am QUITE excited about being in the park over night.. I love MK in the dark, it's so beautiful. I am praying that the 29th, being a Wednesday, won't be THAT crowded since, hopefully, most people won't take off the middle of the week to go to a park.

Then I'll just have fun for the rest of the days I am there.

party: party: party: :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::banana::banana::banana:

I will be at MK on the 29 th for as long as I can. I will probably sleep in that morning and head over late afternon or early evening. ( I am a night owl and normally sleep late.) The next day I will recoup by sleeping in late again and hitting Epcot for the evening.

This will be an interesting trip and the first time I will not be making rope drops or going to the non EMH parks. I hope the lack of fast passes and the crowds don't make me sorry, but I think doing the parks at night will be worth it!

depending on how early or how late you plan to monorail bar hop... I might be able to coerce ttester to go and we can tag along with you... unless there is an age limit (old and decrepit here)

last Oct, Nov and Dec. Territory lounge last call was at 11AM by WL but Tambu Lounge was at 1:30AM for last call of drinks... not sure about the Lounge at GF...

but what we did in Dec. was we started at the pool Bar of WL... took the boat... headed to the Wave... then to Tambu lounge... then at Gasparilla Grill for Pizza and Wine(whatever was the counter service was offering was not really bad plus they do have beer and if you have brought your refillable mug then you can have soda :rolleyes1) then headed to MK was open till 3AM...

I am very interested in how this would work? Poly and Contemp? I will also be there, flying in that afternoon of the 29th and hoping to make most of my week there.

Ann Arbor, I lived there, worked at U of M. Go Blue!

Is there a meeting spot yet?? How does this work? Do we swap numbers or what not? Sorry, first time here!! LOL
