i've done the F&W solo several times and LOVED it!!!

no DH or DS to slow me down, to whine "my feet hurt" "i have a headache" "can we go on any rides????"

nope - just me alone grazing all the food booths

some, several times....

taking photos - eating -shopping - eating - heaven!!!

Yes, Gilroy is about 30 south of San Jose. We have a three-day Garlic Festival the last weekend of July.

I knew it started with a G! I kept thinking about Watsonville...is that the strawberry town?! lol

DH is from Portola Valley area...and we have traveled around...and I loved going through Gilroy!!!!

And unfortunately, it seems that I get there the latest of all, not arriving until October 19, when everyone else has already come and gone.

I'm getting into this a little late in the game--but early for my trip. I've got a reservation starting October 21st for a solo trip to F&W. I did it solo three years ago and loved the experience. Since then work has interrupted every other trip I've planned, but I'm determined to actually get there this year.

My BF and I are going to be at POR Sept 29th to Oct 5th and we're doing the festival on Oct 1st.

Details about the tastings and pairings usually come out sometime in mid July, with the booking opening up a couple weeks later.

Happy Saturday everyone! I registered for WWW this week. There still aren't a lot of details out yet but I wanted to make sure to get a spot - they fill up kinda fast.

I'm thinking about coming in on the 24th instead of the 25th...just so I can do that backstage tour they are planning.

I have a solo trip booked for Oct. 17th to 21st. Right now my res includes the Deluxe Dining Plan as I was planning on trying a number of signature restaurants. However, reading more about the FWF I'm thinking I shouldn't use a dining plan this time. Maybe hit a few of the restaurants I wanted to but mostly graze around the Marketplaces and do the Party for the Senses. Any thoughts?

Okay---who is planning to do the Backstage Tour?? I would love to do it---signed up for it a few years ago and didn't get to do.

This is a "special" backstage tour not offered to the general public. I got an e-mail from wdw celebrations yesterday. Details are not finalized yet and a price hasn't been published. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
