Solo Disney dream I had last night...

I thought you guys might appreciate this. I've got a Solo trip coming up in 2 weeks and I guess my subconscious is planning at night while I sleep.

In my dream last night I was at WDW when I unexpectedly saw some friends of mine. They've never been to WDW so the dream must have been their first trip. They saw me and of course latched right onto me dragging me around in their confused trip around the park. I kept trying to get away from them to go do something important but I couldn't remember what. We wandered the park doing nothing because they couldn't decide where to go what to do etc... Eventually the Fireworks lit up over Cinderella Castle way off in the distance and I realized I had missed the parade and various other things I really wanted to do. :headache:

It was proof to me that I really love being able to take a solo trip and do whatever I want to do.

HaHa! I think I lived your dream several years back - only I had brought my GF and her kids with us in August... She said she knew and loved WDW but all she wanted to do was wander the MK, not go on rides or anything... they were all too "scary" for her and her kids (they were 3rd and 6th grade) :headache: The final straw came when after days of her complaining that the August heat was too much she insisted on heading out to EPCOT at 11am in lieu of the original plans to hang by the pool for the afternoon and hit the park at night. As all FL summer veterans know, at 11am you can head back to your hotel from a park you hit in the morning, but not the other way around: it's suicide. That was about 1/2 way through the trip and I smartened up and started saying "Why don't you go on and do what you want to do. I promised the kids we're going to ___(insert the opposite to her plans here)___" ;)

I've actually tagged along on trips with friends who wanted me to go since I was their resident Disney expert and the exact same thing happened. I can't imagine spending the thousands of $$$ that they did to miss so much! Whatever, tho, as it was their trip and they had fun. I was only out my weekend. Thank goodness for solo trips and my other friends who have the same Disney-trekking philosophies as my own. :goodvibes
