You will be there the same week I am there. What resort are you staying at? I will be staying at POR.

Whoops, forgot to note - I will be at the Poly (my fave resort)! I am a bit bummed about reduced monorail hours, so was toying with idea of staying at an Epcot resort ....

Tried to get my sister to stay at the Poly in Dec, but she would not go for it. But I do get to go eat dinner there on the 12th. Love 'Ohanas!!!

How reduced are the monorail hours??? Our 'Ohanas Res for that night is like 8 somtheing.

My understanding is the monorail will run when the parks are open, but not during extra magic hours. I have been unable to find out whether the monorail runs during the Very Merry Xmas Party.

Do let me know if you want to meet up! I am looking forward to seeing WDW during xmas! Have a great trip!

you are so lucky you got a res. at Ohana
im bringing my gf to the World for the first time and I want her to experience there, but all booked!

have a good time there. enjoy the food for me LOL

A day earlier but... I'm thinking of going to MK solo on Thurs since I have 2 days to burn on my multi day pass. That is if my current illness has gone away enough that I feel like driving up to Orlando alone. I believe the monorail stops at 10pm during MVMCP if it's anything like it was during MNSSHP.

I'll be there for part of that week, too! I'm staying at Villas at Wilderness Lodge Sunday through Wednesday, and then Saratoga through Thursday, so I can walk over to Downtown Disney after I check out.

My schedule, for now, is:

12/11 10am landing, 3pm Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert at Amway Arena, dinner somewhere, if not in the room

12/12 RELAX for the day and sightsee on property, shop in Orlando

12/13 All four parks

12/14 Universal Studios in the morning/afternoon, Mickey's Christmas party thingie in the evening

12/15 Downtown Disney, outlets, flight at 9:30pm

Wow! Now that is an intense schedule! Your post reminded me about the TSO concert and I just made arrangements to see it my home town next week. I can't wait!

I am now figuring out when I can do a day at Universal as well. I am not sure I could be fast enough to do Universal and come back for the holiday party.

Great schedule though! Have a fun trip!

Thanks, Laura! I drove to Pennsylvania to see TSO in Wilkes Barre to see them on the opening night of the 2011 tour. I graduated from the University of Scranton but haven't been back too often. Sorry the pictures are a bit blurry at this size (the phone camera is only 3 mega pixels):

I sat third row/center for the show in Wilkes Barre and will be sitting FRONT ROW in Orlando. I'm not sure how their numbering system works, so I'm either center if they go right-to-left, or on the end if they go left-to-right. We'll see.

Anyway, the Christmas Party idea is just in case I'm not too wiped out after Universal. I don't plan on spending too much time there. I haven't ridden the Simpsons yet or seen the Harry Potter stuff, and I love the Spiderman ride. The last time I was there, the park was pretty dead (the year before HP opened), so I'm hoping the crowds will be dead enough to get there early, ride everything, and leave for maybe 3 or 4. Then I can drive back to Wilderness Lodge, shower up, change, and head to the Christmas Party for 5:30 or 6. I didn't buy any tickets yet, so it will really all depend on my mood for the day. We'll see. But I always do the four parks on one day (I go every year, so if I miss something this time, there's always next time). And I have time to relax in between. Works for me :thumbsup2

Come to think of it, any other Disney fans also attening the TSO show on Sunday, Dec 11th? Either show, but I'll be at the 3pm, not the 8pm.

Wow. There was a time when my trip was still 11 months away. Now Thanksgiving is suddenly next week and my WDW vacation is a couple of weeks after that. Nice!

Hubby and I will be there Dec. 12-17th, 4 day park hoppers, staying at Caribbean Beach for the first time. :goodvibes

I'll be there doing a solo b-day trip Dec 8-11 at AKL
