Solo Cruise!

Hi- I'm booked on an Alaskan cruise with my SO. He's sick and has work issues - so I'm trying to decide to go or not to go? any suggestions for making the best of it? TIA!

If it will be a total loss and you believe you will still have fun, go on the cruise. Are you going on the May 30th departure? We have a meet and greet scheduled the first day. Whether you are on that cruise or a different one, join the cruise meet thread for the cruise and you might have some instant friends on the ship.

If you can get all your money back from trip insurance and would rather not travel alone, do that and try again in the future. Alaska is beautiful and I think you'd have a good time if you don't mind traveling alone.

Going on a solo cruise is something I plan to do within the next 2 years. My kids will probably freak out because they will not be going but they are going on a cruise with me in August. It's nice to know that you can request to eat dinner with other solo cruisers, because otherwise I would feel awkward eating with families or couples.
