Solitude, Utah questions

Hi, All,
We're spending our holiday break at Solitude, Utah, staying in the "village" in the Eagle Springs West condos.

It is our first time here - first time in Utah, first time skiing out west. We're excited, and I'd like to get any information I can about the resort, etc. I'm dealing with a travel agency for the booking that is located in Paramus, NJ and their only knowledge is the limited information that appears on their computer screen (which is not much).

Has anyone skiied Solitude? Are the condos truly walking distance to the slopes? There is supposed to be a grocery store in the village - is it just a convenience store? Am I going to have trouble getting to the slopes from SLC airport if it snows?

Thanks in advance for any tidbits of knowledge you can provide! I haven't skiied in years - hope these old bones can take it!

Well I live in Utah but Ive never skied so I cant be of help except to say Ive heard good things about Solitude...

I can say that its not too bad getting from SLC to the mountains when it snows- We only have 2 freeways (and like 3 highways) so ya cant get lost too easily. That and it really hasnt heavily snowed in the valleys thats stuck for oh a day or more...

Ill ask around and see if anyone I know knows anything-- Have ya done a google search yet?

Thanks, em. I did a google as you suggested and I'm checking out the links. Some are good. Lots of 'Hey, dude, great boarding" and not much "you can get Easy Mac at the village grocery store." LOL!

Any info would be greatly appreciated!
