I finally got approved for my vacation, I only had 1 option for free dining, so just barely made that.

I wanted to do the half marathon in Nov but it's full. Does Disney have a standby list incase someone cancels? Even the 5k is sold out.

It's a bummer since the 1/2 marathon was a New Years Goal.

rundisney does not do wait lists. And things sell out FAST nowadays.

If you look at the events page on rundisney for the Wine&Dine, it says "Registration is still available for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend through our Charity Groups and Travel Providers".

Those are found here. But those are likely going to require fund-raising, etc. DO look into it, though. It's possible there will be something doable for you.


Even if you can't get in, don't let this throw you! There are races everywhere, races much much cheaper than disney races, and they are just as fun (IMO...I seem to be immune to the "magic" others find at rundisney events) as disney. So find something local to do! And start stalking the rundisney pages AND the Events and Competitions forum here under the W.I.S.H. boards. That way you can find out what the NEXT event to go on sale will be.
