If you buy a sold out resort direct from Disney, I am assuming you can still use Disney Finance?

Is there a deposit payable still for sold out resorts bought this way?

Does it work the same way as for 'current' resorts?

Many thanks.

I bought Boardwalk Villas this way, there are not any incentives. I paid the deposit on my CC over the phone, the payments are debited out of my checking account. The points were available for my use immediately. It was very easy. The paperwork all arrived by FedEX. I used my same guide. :thumbsup2

Yes, it works the same as for current resorts (financing, amount of down payment, paperwork) but you won't get any incentives as you do for the current resorts.

Anyone know if you would still be eligible for the Disney Visa Card promotion if you put a deposit down on a "sold Out" resort? I know we wouldn't get the extra points, and extra deposit money they are offering for AKL but would love to buy a SSR or VWL and still get that 500 Rewards card by putting the down payment on the Disney Visa!

bumping this up cuz I'm interested in this last question too. Anybody know?

The easiest way to find out would be to call a guide and ask. We are getting close to purchasing at VWL and would be interested in finding out also. If I get an answer from my guide, I will certainly post the response. :)

This could have changed, but...
We purchased VWL (add-on) early last month. Our use year was immediately available. The entire purchase was put on our Disney Visa. There were no incentives. :sad2: We received only the rewards the purchase generated, 2007 points and coming 2008 points.

...Oh, and we now have the honor and pleasure of calling VWL home!

The only reason I can see doing this is to using Disney financing. If not, buy resale and save $10-25 per point.

I was told there are no incentives when buying a sold out resort. We bought BCV in Feb and we didn't any of the deals going on at the time.
