That would have been 300 banked points(2003) and 300 current points(2004) that you sold for $6000.

Now why did you have to sell at a loss? I bought in 2004 as well at $73 at BWV. I could now sell this at $80+. I didn't think any of the resorts went down in value?

How did you get out of paying commissions?

the contract had 600 points when we bought it...

we sold it to be done with it, we figured the math worked out and i was happy with it... it was a stripped contract...i fsbo'd it for 6 months and it never moved at 80 (ebay or tug)... not even an offer close to it...

Sorry, but it seems like a lot of "monkey business" for one 7 day trip!

it was never our intention to strip and flip the contract... it just worked out that way... we bought one year, thinking we'd go forever... went that next spring and realized that there is not enough in WDW to keep us coming back and happy more often than every three years...

I could see how that could be too many points if you don't like going more than once every few years. A smaller contract of about 100-150 might be more suitable, (bank and borrow) and go every 3 years.
