Sog ?

Does SOG have microwaves to use in the cafe? I like to bring my own allergy safe food with me but I see on their website you can't have a micro in your room like at the Poly.

I just returned from SoG, last week, and I didn't see any microwaves at the Express Cafe, or any of the public places, for that matter...

The rules for "no microwaves" in the rooms is set by the local fire codes/fire department which is the Reedy Creek Fire Department, which is in turn, a Disney operation...

However, I found the Express Cafe personnel to be quite friendly and helpful (during the less-hectic afternoon hours, anyway) -- if you explained your situation to the manager, I am willing to bet they (Express Cafe) could "make something happen" for you.

Thanks. I know that at the Poly you can request a micro (they won't guarantee you'll get one though) and was told that I could bring my own if I want to be sure of having one. So I don't see the difference at SOG? Thought it was their policy.

We just returned from a trip to SOG. There is a microwave in the laundry room. There is a sign next to it that says something to the effect that it is intended to reheating food, formula or making popcorn, not for heavy duty cooking. I chuckled when I read that! So I guess it would work fine to heat up some allergy safe foods, but if you want to microwave an entire roast for your family, you may be out of luck!
