Hello ALL:wave2:

We're planning our very first family trip to DW in November.

My questions.....Can the fireworks be viewed from SOG? Or a nearby area on the SOG property so we as a family can bring a blanket and watch??

Also, does the PX gift shop sell autograph books and bottled water.

Also, is there a kiddie park on the property.

Thanks :sunny:

Welcome!!

You can see a bit of the Magic Kingdom fireworks (or could), but to get a better view you'd need to go to the Polynesian Resort. It's within walking distance (down the entrance road and across the street). Maybe a 15 minute walk.

The PX used to sell bottled water, but I'm not too sure about the autograph books.

By a kiddie park, do you mean a playground? I'm not too sure.

However- I'm sure that someone else will set both of us straight.

Have a great trip!!

Kiddie pool....yes
Water in the BX....yes
Autograph books......I think so
Fireworks from SOG....I don't think so; but walk across the street to the beach area at the Polynesian and you'll see thme just fine.

Have a great trip!

they used to have one, so I'm sure it is still there. Water of course is more reasonable than other resorts, but, it still may be cheaper to stop at a store and buy a case before arriving.

I remember seeing lines of people filling water bottles with the bottle of water they had by the work out room. I think thats stretching it a little bit, I can't imagine the poor person having to change that thing out umpteen times a day.

I see most every thing else you asked was answered except for the kiddie park. If you consider a slide and some swings a kiddie park, then yes, they have one. It's a very small area located close to the main (Mickey) pool and Evergreens. Since they did not add another pool, I'm ***assuming*** they did not add a real play area (I didn't see any thing in the works before I left). :)

We saw the fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian where they piped in the music. A few minutes later the Electrical Water Pageant goes by.

The PX had water bottles for $1.50 and autograph books.

Any new trip reports on SOG? We are getting excited, less than a month to go :Pinkbounc :bounce: !!
