SOG question

Hello Military families!

We're planning on a November trip for the very first time and staying at the sOG with our three young children. Question -- can we eat breakfast (a bowl of cereal) inside our room? Also, is there a PX or a commissary inside SOG? Are the restuarant meals cheaper compare to elsewhere?

Hi,
You can eat breakfast in your room. There is a table in the area of the sofa bed and I think all the rooms now have a refrigerator. When we were there we had to rent one, but we kept milk in it and some cereal and poptarts in the room. I had some of those disposable plastic bowls and spoons to use. (We had 3 young children with us, too!)
There is a small PX, with some souvenir type stuff and some basic food type supplies - nothing like a real commissary or anything. The restaurant meals are cheaper than what you would pay at the parks to eat. I know they are supposed to have more restaurant choices with the "new" SOG renovation. Before, they had the main restaurant which had a different buffet each night (also had a breakfast buffet) and they had the Sports Bar which had pretty good/reasonably priced foods like burgers, sandwiches, pizza, etc.
We have always enjoyed staying there and are looking forward to seeing the new SOG this summer!

Hey, just wanted to shout out--my husband and I will be there in July (5-13) for our first WDW vacation. I can't wait!
