Just got back from tryouts [: I did pretty good.

I just have a question...

I have a batting helmet without a cage on it. I could get one, but i can NOT hit with a cage on the helmet.

So do you know if you're aloud to wear a helmet without a cage??

im pretty sure you have too. last summer i was playing in a tournament in new jersey and i actually got hit in the helmet with a ball that was pitched. if i were you i would get one. b/c if there is one bad pitch then it could really hurt you. my cousins friend was pitching and got a ball hit back to her and shattered her whole face and she hadda get plastic surgery on her face. so i might get a mask for the field too lol.

btw. first game was today. we lost. which sucks. but i pitched really good! we played the best team in out conference. it was mostly fieliding errors that messed us up. how everyone else doing?

I'm going to get one if I get on the team (thats what the coach told me to do)

thanks! and dont be mad at mistakes and keep thinking about them b/c then you'll just keep messing up. just clear your mind and worry about whats going on then. b/c otherwise you'll phsyc(sp?) yourself out. GOOD LUCK!

tmmrw is the last day of tryouts
The last day of tryouts are the ones they grade you on, so i'm really scared.

Today i got yelled at for walking like 30 seconds of the mile xD
she made me do 10 pushups because of it...everyone else walked almost the whole thing

did you really have to run a mile? we didnt. we had to for volleyball but not softball.

for insurance reasons most likely they will make you wear one with the cage. its probly good because if you have a powerful pitcher and she misses it wont damage your face if it hits your face.

Im probably going to be playing shortstopbecause our starter is out of town and the coaches had me playing there yesterday. I really hope I dont mess up

heyy. i'm grace. i play softball. well its kinda obvious. I played on my towns summer team the past two summers and i recently made this amazing summer team, Thunder. They're wikid good and we all get along, now its just up to parents, they are being selfish and don't want to gloriously spend every weekend, from April 25 - July 25 in the heat watching they're lovely amazing daughter play softball( haha. ) They'd rather be relaxing in the cape and florida, selfish adults, who'd rather be spending they're precious time and money on them selves then their daughter! haha.

Position - 2nd. Short. Pitcher. Center. and when desperately needed ... catcher.
experience - 4 years of town softball
3 years of summer softball
2 years of school softball
haha so cool!

I got my uniform today
I got #15 because someone else got 5 (which I wanted...david wright ;]) so I got 15 because without the 1,it's a 5. And Carlos Beltran is #15.
I've only had one practice and I have a game on Saturday...I'm sooo scared.

We lost today 18-2. We were horrible (I was too), it was really sad

I didnt play shortstop, thank god, I ended up playing left field and I never touched the ball. Our pitcher hit 5 girls and walked close to 15, and yet after 6 innings and 18 runs given up they never took her out
