Softball glove recommendations...please!

My 10 yr old DD needs a new softball glove. She is very tall, so she definitely uses an adult size glove. Right now, she mainly plays 3rd base although she has been practicing pitching and hopes to get to try that this coming season. Any recommendations... (There are so many to chose from and I want to get her a good one.)

I used to play a lot of softball up until my first knee surgery years ago. I used to have a Rawlings that I really liked, but that was quite a few years ago and I don't remember the model except it was a ball player's name. The best thing to do is take her to a store with a sports section and have her try a bunch on and see what feels best to her. of course, any glove needs to be broken in, but it's good to start with one that feels good up front.

My daughter has a Mizuno glove. (13 inches) She is 5'7" or 5'8" tall. She pitches and we had it custom made online, so she could pick the web, web color and stitching color. They even put her name on it and number. It was very reasonable. I probably would get your daughter only a 12 1/2 though. My daughter has a very long hand.

I wanted to add that my daughter pitches and plays short. The glove is great for these positions and any other position. Does your daughter have a pitching coach?
