Can anyone please tell me how easy it is to get from the Sofitel to the South Terminal and how long does it take?

The North and South terminals are linked by a monorail train system.

Travel time should be 5 mins.

We stayed at the Sofitel last year and it was lovely. We asked for a runway room and got it and it was lovely in the morning having a cup of tea watching the flights land/take off. It only took a few minutes to get to South Terminal and it was the perfect place to stay. :goodvibes

As the pp's say, it's an easy monorail ride that literally takes a couple of minutes. Very straightforward, it's almost at the top of the ramp leading down to the Sofitel, you don't have to go into any lift or anything. The Sofitel is a fabulous hotel - nothing else compares imho.

From the Sofitel reception desk to security/check-in at the South terminal I would say is about 10 minutes depending on whether you have to wait for a monorail.
