Sofa bed - are you a make-upper or leave-outer ;)

I'm just curious - we always, always, always fold up the sofa bed in our villa and replace all the cushions. I personally just can't stand the visual clutter of having the bed out. But it seems like a lot of people don't do this. Am I just weird? (don't answer that! )

When we use it, (depending on who comes on the trip determines if we do) then we make it up for the day. Just too messy otherwise.

For me, a better poll option would have been "when we use it, we fold it up."
A lot of the time it's just DH and I, so we don't need to open the sofa. But when we have others, I make it up. Can't stand the clutter. I'm neater in DVC than at home

We always book a 2 bedroom and because of DS(13) friends that we bring with us, someone always sleeps on the sleeper sofa. We fold it back up every morning, I can't stand to leave out. My best friend and her son will usually have the second bedroom and if it's a sleeper sofa type studio, she leaves it open for the entire stay which makes me crazy. I say nothing, I just don't go in there, thankfully they all come in with us to watch TV and eat. Our home and vacation home always appear lived in but I can't stand crap every where, so we pick up! Thats why I love the laundry room, no dirty clothes lying around.

With 3 people in the Kidani 1 bedroom during my spring break, we left the sofa bed opened for the DGF who used it. Now, if DH was with us, he would put it away every morning. He just can't stand so see it opened and to his mind it's messy. It didn't bother my DSis, DGF or me at all.

With 6 people in BCV 2 bedroom in February, our group made the sofa bed up. It was the sort of mix of people who needed all of the sitting space in the living room available during waking hours.

I don't have a clear answer to your question.

Not only am I neater, but I live to cook at our resort too. Wierd, I know. We haven't been for 3 years now and finally we are going February 2011. Will the new ships be out by then?

We want the sofa to sit on during the daytime hours and the bed part for the nightime hours - so we do use it, and we do fold it up each day. But then we also make the regular beds each day too. Everybody neat and tidy is our motto, even on vacation.

When there were 6 of us in a 2 BR, my son slept on the sofa sleeper as he was always the last one in and the last one to bed. However, when my mom and I woke up and wanted coffee and breakfast at 7 a.m., we booted him to my bed in the second bedroom and folded the sleeper up for the day. Now, my DGF and I are headed to SSR in a studio in May. I don't think we will fold the sofa each morning, but we'll have to see how it goes space wise. If I feel too crowded then I'll fold it. Otherwise I can watch TV from the bed...

As for the poll, I had to vote: "We never use the sofabed in our villa." However, if we were to use it we'd be part of the "fold it up each day" crowd. We do make our beds each day, put things away, tidy as we go -- preferring to keep a neat place neat.

We fold it each day we are there and use it except for departure day and then we leave it open and all the linens on it so housekeeping will be sure to provide clean ones for the next guests.

The only problem with folding it up, though, is that sofa is so darned hard to sit on. It's like sitting on a brick wall.

DD(16) gets the sofa bed and to keep her 'love to lounge in bed' teenage personality happy we keep it out - but I do make an attempt to tidy it up each morning.. err... afternoon after she gets up. Typically DS and I will be up and off to the parks and she's just getting out of the shower by the time we return for lunch.

we had 2BR villas our last trip.. we folded up the sofa but kept the sleeper chair open.
