I used to love Fresca when it first came out many, MANY years ago...it was sweetened with cyclamate, which was banned for suspicion of being a cancer-causing agent and replaced with saccharin. Cyclamate was never confirmed as causing cancer, but saccharin was soon after that, but the FDA let it stay on the market with a warning because there were no other diet sweeteners approved at that time. The non-cyclamate Fresca just never tasted the same to me. Oh well!

THAT'S the one I used to like! Good lord, you made me remember just how many years ago that was! Thanks . I thought they used Saccharin from the get go, but you are right. I remember them banning the first version. Don't know what's in it now, but it's not the same.

In the States, it is soda, but here in Canada, it is known as pop. I will either drink diet pepsi or diet coke, as it doesn't matter to me. However at home, we get the cheap stuff like Big 8, which is a Sobeys (grocery store chain) brand.

I am a Pepper too!! Ok, the DH had never heard of that slogan when I mentioned it to him about 6 months ago!! What??!! Anyway, yes, I'll admit I am the Dr. Pepper queen! This is weird though, at home I drink Diet Dr. Pepper "only" from a can, or I'll have a Diet Coke. If we go to a restaurant or get a drink from a fountain at a convenience store it has to be regular soda, I cannot drink Diet soda from a fountain...gross!

Excuse me, but you cannot be the Dr. Pepper Queen, because that title belongs to me. I will, however, allow you to be the Dr. Pepper Princess.

I wish I could get on a pedestal here and say, "I never ever drink soda, I'm a water girl myself" but I am ADDICTED to diet coke with lime. I love, love, love it. In fact, I am out of it and I actually just sent DH to the corner store to get me some this afternoon... And I kissed the bottle when he brought it in. Hmmm....as I re read that, I think I might have a problem...

I can drink diet pepsi if it is my only option, but I usually ask them for at least half a lime or lemon to kill the "pepsi" taste. Blecchhh.

Soda is something you bake with. I am a POP drinker. Gotta have my Pepsi even at WDW. I stock up the hotel room with fully loaded Pepsi.

I usually drink Coke or Cherry Coke but my all time favorite soda is SunDrop. I can't buy it where I live though,I believe they only sell it in the south.

Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper over ice.
I also like Diet Cherry Coke and Diet Pepsi.

Diet Pepsi in a can does not hold fizz well for me.
Diet Pepsi in a 20oz bottle holds a ton of fizz and will make me burp. I try to limit that.

I switched to Diet a year ago to TRY and lose weight. Tried everything but I hate the after taste of diet drinks. Found that Diet Faygo Redpop has no after taste so now I am hooked on it.

I'm not a soda drinker generally. When I got out to restraunts and the water tastes icky, thats when I order a soda. And when that happens, its usually 7up or Sprite or some other carbonated lemon lime beverage.
