Soda Six Packs

Have never seen that - where do you buy it?

Some specialty stores have it. I see it at some restaurants. I think some Walmart stores carry it. It's an imported Italian soda made with mineral water. It really depends on where you are. Like I said - a lot of specialty grocery stores have it, but it might be available at some ordinary supermarkets and discount stores.

I mention it because it's the only can I recall that use a foil seal. It just peels off and it's an ordinary can underneath.

Come to think of it, I cannot remember the last time I saw a 6 pack of sodas anywhere. The 6 packs of bottles are very common. They are like $2.50 at Walmart. I get them every now and then because I like to have the bottles "just in case".

I haven't noticed here, because I buy it pretty rarely, and the last two times have been the small cans - but to answer the question about those: The Pepsi was in an 8-pack of "mini, but normal-shaped" cans, and the tonic water was in a 6-pack of "regular diameter, but shorter" cans. (Both had the rings, but I do cut them before throwing them away!)

::yes:: Both of which cost as least as much or often more than the 12-pack of cans. I actually really love the minis but they do seem like a terrible deal, price-wise.

Yes, you would actually be better off buying the 12 ounce cans and pouring 1/3 of it out rather than getting 8 ounce cans. I really don't mind that the small cans are more $ per ounce, but it irks me that they are more PER CAN!!

I can understand saying you don't have the space for the 12 pack or some other reasoning but if your only reasoning is because you don't want or need the 12 pack go ahead and buy it anyways. My guess is you will eventually want another soda in the year before it expires.

Why are six packs of soda (Coke, 7-up, Dr. Pepper, etc) no longer available? I don't need/want 12 cans.
6 packs are still in the stores here. Along with the 12 and 24 packs. When I was a kid the soda section was a small part of one side of an aisle in the grocery store. Now it is a full aisle, both sides. 8 ounce cans, 12 ounce cans, 16 ounce bottles, 1 liter bottles, 2 liter bottles, and with some sodas like Shasta, 3 liter bottles. Pepsi and Mountain Dew with high fructose corn sweetener and old style with pure cane sugar. Too many options for stuff we probably shouldn't be drinking.

I drink Zevia and I can only find it in 6 packs.

They will have 6-packs here very rarely and its always on a special deal because there is no room left on the shelves for them. It will be on a display someplace in the store. They really don't push the 24 packs anymore. Its all 12 packs now on display.

Sanpellegrino is usually found in the water section, not soda.
