If you ask for that around here, they'll mix the two flavors together (after looking at you weird!)
No, just as those who call it soda don't say, "I'd like a Sprite soda."
We ask the waitress what kind of cokes the restaurant serves. The reply will either be somthing like, "Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew" or "Coke, Sprite, Mello Yello." Then we order the one we want.
I might also say, "DH, will you please pick up some cokes next time you're in
WalMart." He knows I mean caffeine-free diet Mountain Dew for me, Sprites for the girls, and Dr. Pepper for him. (btw, we mostly drink water or iced tea

we only have cokes for parties or special occasions. I think it's bad for kids to drink too much coke).
I had a friend who traveled north on business and got a real confused look from the waitress when he asked what kind of cokes they had!
