Can you take soda on an airplane? I know you can in carryon since the compartment is pressurized. But how about in checked luggage?

I wouldn't just because it might explode! LOL!

However, if you do be sure to make sure you don't go over the luggage weight which is 50lbs per piece on most airlines. Beverages add up quickly on the weight!

If you do, ALWAYS wrap it very well in plastic bags to ensure it won't mess up everything else in case it does break - including my luggage which may be right beside yours! Remember, along with the pressurization concern is the fact that your bag will be thrown quite a few times during the trip. However, I wonder if saving a few cents on soda is worth losing the packing space.

I didn't think of all the throwing around of luggage. Thanks

We have packed it in our luggage several times without problems.
