can you buy soda at school before or during lunch?..at my high school the soda machines open at 1 when all the lunches finish and i get mad because im sick of having juice or milk with my lunch. I know you can bring soda from home in for lunch but it wont be ice cold.

you COULD. but most don't. I normally don't eat much of anything if I eat at all. I've got first lunch and thats at 10:15. I'm not near hungry then. You can always buy something to drink and have it in class with permission of your teacher.

I'm home schooled, but don't drink much soda. I only drink the diet stuff, and have it maybe once a week. (We're not big pop people)

I do drink 2-3 cups of coffee in the morning, and about two cups of plain (hot)tea with lunch.:coffee:

I drink tea at lunch. Iced tea. Even in the middle of winter, a glass of iced sweet tea. lol.

gotta love coffee..mmMMmm :teeth:

They took out our vending machines last year. And now they charge a ton for any drink. Its part of a new health agenda :rolleyes2 I dont drink pop anyways.

We're not aloud to have any sodas at school. We can't even bring any from home. They told us they didn't need a whole bunch of hyper active 8th graders bouncing off the walls. Diet soda? They said no to that too. Well, I don't really think they need soda at my school anyway. They give us plenty of other options, snapple, orange juice, water, ice tea, diet ice tea and yahoo. But I don't get why they sell PowerAid? Powerade is just as sugary as soda. Maybe for sports team after school?:confused3 So anyway, none of us really thinks about soda unless someone brings it up.

Anytime we want. Soda and water machines on all day long. We go before classes, after classes, before lunch, during lunch, after lunch, after school, whenever we like. And on Fridays they sell doughnuts in the cafeteria all day.

I figured that out when I was about one. I had ear-aches all the time and all I'd drink was coffee (They gave me decaf so I didn't go spastic). There's pictures of me with coffee in my baby bottle...and I was as happy as a clam!:coffee:

The pop machines at my school are always open: before, during, and after school, but I never buy any b/c I don't like pop. :)

We can after school.. But its a state law we can't drink it during school or lunch.

We can buy pop before and after school, but not during lunch. The administrators are too cheap to take them out completely.

yeah, we can get them whenever. we used to have coke products, in the bottles. but now they changed it to pepsi products in cans. and i find that ridiculously stupid. id rather have kids walking around with bottled and capped drinks then ones in just cans.

I'm not too sure but I think that the machines are turned off during school hours and are on before and after school.

That may not last long though, "Jodi" (Connecticut's governor) is considering a bill that would ban soda and other drinks with high sugar content from shools..

*lucky*...lol, jp. :) We can buy orange juice or water, but it's a dollar extra. We just recently got a Snapple Fruit Juice Machine put in, but it doesn't taste very good.

Our teachers get to drink tea though..... :guilty: Oh well. lol :smooth:

We can't buy soda at ALL. They took away the soda machines, and stopped selling soda during lunches. Now they sell just water, gaterade, and snapple.

And next year (thank god I wont be there anymore...) they are getting rid of ANYTHING unhealthy. No candy machines, no selling cookies, fries, soft pretzels, etc. in the cafeteria. and no sports teams/clubs/etc will be allowed to do the candy sale fundraiser. it sucks. but hey, i wont be there. lol
