Hello,
I read about people at WDW wearing socks that wick moisture away from the skin. For anyone who has used these, I'm wondering where you bought them (in Canada)?
Thank you!!

You might be thinking about the coolmax socks. You can buy them at any sporting goods store I found mine at Walmart in the sock section.

Do you have a Running Room near you? That's were I have purchased mine from. I use them a lot during the summer when doing all sorts of outdoor activities. I also used them at WDW and they work.

Check out their website.

SportChek also carries these type of socks.

Those socks are SO cute. I want the bone ones:goodvibes

DH bought me a pair of socks to wear during cold-weather camping at night. He really researched them. I think they are nylon rather than cotton. S

Most sports stores will have them. I would look at the Running Room and places like that for your best chance of getting them. They won't be cheap but they are a great thing to have.

We went on a special tour this past summer to Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands) and EVERYTHING had to quick wick. (including underwear) We got alot of our clothing at the Army Surplus stores. The sports stores and hiking/outdoor adventure stores also carry this type of clothing but it is very expensive. We also went over to the U.S. and bought alot of clothing at Gander Mountain. They have a great website and will deliver things right to your door! They also carry women's and children's clothing including socks!:thumbsup2

Also, try to get double layer socks. I have a few pairs from the Running Room and LOVE them. You can get them for summer and winter, so don't think that the "summer" version would be too hot for Florida. They wick away the moisture, but the double layer also means no blisters! The inner sock stays against your foot, and the outer sock stays against the shoe. So, when you're walking/running, the inner and outer socks rub, not your foot! I started running last March and won't go out without a pair of these socks. They also last a long time (I still haven't needed to throw my first pair out, I only have 2 pairs, and I use them to run 3 times a week), so don't be discouraged by the price.

To be as comfortable as possible, I recommend getting as many wicking articles of clothing as possible. They make some really nice shirts that aren't all that sporty (I have a couple shirts that just look like plain cotton Ts from Under Armour). They make such a difference in comfort...

Ok, so clearly I was the only one who thought that the OP was asking about Sox in the shade of Red. :lmao:
