Hey all of you who are lucky enough to live close to DLR!

I am beginning my planning for packing (only 12 days left! Woohoo!)

I am basically planning two outfits for each of us for each day...one for AM and one for post-swim/evening.

My question is this--what on Earth is the weather doing there right now? here in Colorado we have sun and super hot one minute, then two hours later it can be cold and rainy.

Should I expect the same at DLR? Should I plan for shorts & t-shirts for daytime and pants and sweatshirts for evening? I would love to not have to pack seventeen thousand outfits if possible...:confused3

Would love some insight!!

TIA

The weather is improving right now - getting warmer every day. It's quite unlikely to be rainy at all in the near future! We're going this weekend - it's supposed to be in the low 80s during the days.

I'm a So Cal native with thin blood...so I'm pretty much always chilly in the evenings and plan to wear pants and a light jacket at night...but being from Colorado, you might be more comfortable when it's in the low 60s than I am. :-)
I know I see lots of people still in shorts in the evenings, though they often are wearing a light jacket or sweatshirt.

Hope that helps.

Right now I would wear shorts or cropped pants and a t-shirt during the day. Nights are cooler, at least for us So. Cal wimps, and I would change into jeans with a light jacket/sweatshirt. There is no rain predicted so that shouldn't be a worry.

i personally think the weather has been really crazy lately!! it's cold one day, and hot the next! i get cold easily...and i would just layer. i think you would definitely need a jacket at night. or at least a sweatshirt. something you can just tie around your waist if you need to during the day. shorts would be too cold for me...i'd do capris. hope this helps...:flower:

As a relativey new so cal native (I moved here a year ago from the East Coast) I can tell you that the weather will be wonderful. It will be warm during the days and you may need a light jacket in the evening.

I have to say my dd and I had ourselves a good chuckle the other night when we saw some locals dressed in winter jackets! I hope I am hear long enough to need a winter jacket when it hits sixty! :lmao:

Anyway - the weather looks like it is going to be great and I would not worry about rain.

Its too hard to tell. Last week is just cold because of the rain. now its really warm. you should ask about a week before you leave :)

It is going to cool off a wee bit next week - highs in the mid-60s to low-70s. I would agree with the shorts/capris during the day and capris w/light jacket or sweatshirt at night (lows in the low-50s). Where I live (inland San Diego county) it has been in the 40s at night.

At the moment it is beautiful here. About 80 degrees. We did have a rainstorm come through about a week ago but I don't know of any more rain in the immediate future. The nights can still be a little chilly so I would prepare for shorts during the day and pants/sweatshirt at night. Have fun!!

what everyone else said...lol

were I to go right now, I'd do capris and t-shirt, with a sweatshirt around my waist...:thumbsup2
