Hey there, We're looking at getting the Citypass, I can get em here in canada for 249 and 219 respectively at costco.ca.

We're going to spend 8 days in Anaheim from Aug 20-28th got a car booked for the entire time as it is just as cheap to get a car for the week as it is for 4 days.
We're hyped to see disney and seaworld and a side trek to legoland and a little meh on the Universal studios just due to the driving requried to get there.

Anyways what's the best/most economical way to see Disney( at least 4 days) legoland and seaworld.. i was considering the citypass and just skipping out on the SD zoo part of it and possibly the Universal studios portion and leave that till the kids are older (they are 6 and 8 right now) I just find that that will take out the savings we'd gain from buying the pass.

the SoCal pass has 3 days at Disney...

I have read on here, that if you turn up at the ticket office at disney - and what to "upgrade" to a great number of days (before you enter the park), then you can pay for the extra day and get your four days (rather than the three which comes with the ticket).

If you aren't going to go to Universal Studios or San Diego Zoo (or neither) - then I would be number crunching - to see if it is worth purchasing the pass...

My guess is that it isn't

If you decide that CityPASS will work for you, FYI you can upgrade your CityPASS 3-day Park Hopper ticket to any ticket type of equal or greater value. The "credit" you get for your CityPASS ticket is $186 for ages 10+ and $165 Ages 3-9. Hope that helps!

so, i was looking on the website and they have promo online parkhoppers
at 246 is that the price i should be using to look for upgrading to 5 days?
or should it be the 266 regular price or is there a different price at the gate?

just want to make sure I am crunching the numbers correctly :-)
thanks

It's not really clear to me from the website whether the $246 is an online-only price, and the gate price would be $266, or if the $246 is good for both online and gate purchases. I would have to suggest that you check with Disney on that.

Either way, the credit for your CityPASS that you would get towards the price is $186. So if the price is $246, then you would pay $60 to upgrade, and if the price is $266, then you would pay $80. To know for sure what you'd end up paying, though, double-check with Disney on the gate cost of the ticket.

Thanks!
