Soarin' ???

So, is Soaring over CA closed or not?

Disneyland website says closed for refurbishment but I read a recent blog that said it's open still Fri-Sundays and only closed Mon-Thursdays for re-programming?

From the calendar, it looks like Soarin' is closed from Jan 4 to 22, then switches over to the open on weekends/closed on weekdays schedule (it's not on the refurb listing for Jan 23 and 24, but shows back up for Jan 25).

The DL site shows it is closed now until Friday January 22nd. It shows it is running on the 23rd & 24th, then M-Th the 25th-28th, then up again the 29th-31st, etc...

So it looks like it has a bit of an extended closing and starts the weekend thing on the 23rd.

How will the crowds be Saturday at CA - anyone have a guess?

If I had to guess, I would say it's like to be busy on Saturday (because it's a Saturday), but not capacity-closure level busy. SoCal and SoCal Select APs are blocked, but Signature and Deluxe are not. There are still several school districts, including LAUSD, on winter break through this weekend (starting back up on Jan 11). I do think Aladdin the Musical at the Hyperion is likely to be very busy because it's last day is Sunday.

Thanks - I'm hoping that some of the crowd diverts to DL to catch rides that are closing on 1/11 & also hoping for some rain to keep others away. Soarin' was my 3y.o.'s fav last time, she's 5 now and is bummed that it will be closed.

This weekend is the end of Christmas Time, expect it to be busy. Not Christmas Week busy but not the after Christmas lull.
