Soarin/Test Track--What order?

Uh, well count us as "not very cool" either. This is our strategy when we go later this month. There are four of us and this is usually how we do it every trip.:goodvibes

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Just wait for the runner to get back from Soarin'...if you go first thing the wait will be 20-30 minutes max for TT and then by the time you're done with TT you'll be able to walk over and at most have to wait a few minutes for Soarin'. It's not like it's New Year's Eve and 240 minute waits for Soarin' & Test Track and fast passes gone by 11:00. If I were you I wouldn't be surprised if people won't let you through. Please remember that you're at the happiest place on earth and don't ruin the magic for everyone else. pixiedust:

:happytv:heres how we did it on our last trip, last july:

:yay:at rope drop run with the crowd and grab fps for soaring and get on line for soaring, only about a 20 minute line. then after soaring stoll over to the seas and look around, when window for next fp opens up head over to tt and grab fps for that then stoll over to misson space and walked on to MS, we did the wimpy side (dont remember the colors) and really enjoyed it, there was no line for the intense version either.

hope this helps, worked great for us

:confused3Please remember I'm at the happiest place on earth and don't ruin the magic for everyone else? Yeah, well my magic too ya' know and it would just be me or my husband, not all four of us. Like I said before, do it every year and will do it this year!

If your "magic" includes line cutting, well then that's not very "magical."

Is your 3-year-old under 40 inches? If so, he won't be able to ride on either ride -- in which case you should probably get Soarin FP first, then go to TT and the two adults take turns using the single-rider lane (it will be fast), and then do the Parent Swap thing when you return to Soarin to use your Fast Passes.

I agree with this, my brother had seizure at rope drop so we had to walk slow and by the time we FP'd Soarin, my DH met us over at TT and there was a 40 min wait. So we all ended up getting in the single rider line and waited for 15 mins, two of us were in the same car....it was great! :)

Well.. that's a risk you take I guess.. you won't be passing me up.. ;)

Call it what you want - I am one person catching up to my family. I do it every year and so do thousands of other people.

That is the most self-centered, rude attitude I have heard in a long time. For you to think that for some reason, you are entitled to cut in a line and that it is just one or two people so why would people care is just STUPID!.

Get a clue, we are all there and we don't CUT in front of people, we wait for our group and go in together. If for some reason we get separated, I have stood in the queue letting others by until my wife catches up WITHOUT cutting.

As I said in my previous post, you won't be cutting past me or others that feel the same way, so you may be disappointed.

Which ever member of your part is the fastest should hustle to Soarin' to get FP's for everyone. Make certain that member collects all of your KTTW as soon as you go through the turnstiles, and gets straight over there.

The other adult can get the kids over to Test Track. By the time you deal with strollers, the crowds, and the kids, the FP runner will likely get to TT not too long after wards, and you can all then ride TT standby without much of a wait. Do any other attractions that you are interested in on that side of Future World (like the Universe of Energy) then head over to use your Soarin' FP's (and get another set if you really enjoyed it), and then do the rest of the attractions on that side of FW.

Well, doesn't THAT sound magical. Is there a Big Book O' Line Rules somewhere that you guys are following to the letter, because I sure haven't seen it. Exactly how do line-cutter police determine who is returning from retrieving fast passes for their group vs. who is coming back from a potty break? Do you keep a notepad for jotting down a description of each person who exits the line while you wait?

Sheesh, people, don't you have anything better to do?? Life is too short. :sad2:

Well, it SURE isn't magical to be standing in line and one person after another (all different groups) goes past you and before you are finished, you have let 30-40 people past you.. Excuse me, but there doesn't need to be a book a rules, it is called common sense and politeness.

People that cut lines need to quit being rude and self-centered. All you are thinkin of is yourself and although one person may not make a difference it is the 39 others behind you that all add up.

I am assuming also that the moderators will send you an infraction/warning for calling me stupid? I love it when people on these boards try to be the mug police, line cutting police, pool hopping police, seriously! Like I said, I do it every year, it is NOT line cutting, my family of three is in line, I get the fast passes and catch up. Always have, always will!

It IS line cutting.:rolleyes1

I will be entering from the back from the boardwalk. Does it make more sense to grab a FP from test track on the way by and then go to soaring?

Test track won't really be on your way from the International Gateway to the Land Pavilion (where Soarin' is). In fact, it will be quite a bit out of your way.

And if you grab TT Fast Passes, then you will have to do Soarin' standby, which could be a long wait by the time you get there. So if it were me, I'd head straight for Soarin first.

Agreed. One engaging in this behavior is a rude line cutter.

I will confess that I did this once on Toy Story Mania. I got the FP while DH jumped in the standby line. By the time I had our FPs and tried to join him, there was a long line. I must have CUT over 100 people to catch up with him. Yes, it was just me and I was apologetic and polite... but I was cutting the line when I asked all those people to let me by to join my husband. What I did was wrong and I regret it. I will not do this again. It was wrong.

To those that do this: don't try to rationalize your behavior by saying it is just you and don't get defensive when some one points out that what you are doing is cutting a line. Line cutters aren't bad people, just people engaging in bad behavior. Please don't do it.

In reality he didn't call YOU stupid...

"For you to think that for some reason, you are entitled to cut in a line and that it is just one or two people so why would people care is just STUPID!."

He called the idea that you have that you can cut to the front of the line stupid....:thumbsup2

If you go at rope drop, have one of you run and get Test Track fastpasses while the rest of you head to wait standby for Soarin. Because it's first thing in the morning it may be a little busy, but not as insane as it will be later. Also, Soarin is more bearable to wait in line for with little kids because they have all these cool things on the screen and they usually set up some sort of motion game on the big screen that's surprisingly fun. Test Track is a pain in the *** to wait in line with little kids.
