Soarin' stand-by times today

We have Soarin' FP for Sunday and at first I wasn't sure we would really need it with three theaters open. Silly me.
Last I looked standby was 2 hrs 20 mins! Glad we have FP!

It's 11:30am on the first day that Soarin' has reopened and the Disney experience app is showing a wait time of 120 minutes! 130 minutes for TT!!

What do you think? Is it a surge due to being closed for almost 6 months? Is Epcot especially crowded today due to the holiday weekend?

Just keep checking fast pass. I just got one for later today. And test track was available

I would like to have one in case we decide we want to ride something all the way across the park . That way if it is a long wait we wont walk all the way there lol. It might help us decide what we do next.

the my disney experience app has wait lines. Just take it with a grain of salt and know the popular rides where it tends to be a little higher than it really is most of the time.

since the single passes came out, I really think they add in more or hold back some for same day now. I get great passes during hte day now.

When I was there about 11:00AM, only B and C were running. The standby line was long!

thanks for this. I had a gut feeling we waited so long because only C was ready and 1 is not enough capacity :) I wonder if the will even add A before the new film.

This would be quite the norm for something new (basically is) or anticipated for so long, also a major holiday kicking off summer is this weekend - not surprised at all!

I like TP Lines the best. It not only has the MDE times (same as Easy's feed), but also what are generally more realistic times. I would not say the earlier TT example I posted is a good example, as either times, 160 or 126, are way out of my patience levels. But the current Peter Pan spread, 80 posted, 56 expected (still both more than I will do) may make it a choice for some people. An almost half spread may make some people choose it, but not at 80 minutes. The additional features make it a pretty solid app. And the MDE is always needed also.

We have Epcot as recommended park day for late next week, and at this point rather than mess with our schedule and booked FP+ we are going to aim for gate arrival at 830a and RD Soarin, hoping that is manageable.

I rode standby first thing this morning. Wait time was posted at 75 minutes and went up to 120 by the time we entered the main entrance (the que started outside). Only waited a little over an hour. Only B and C are running and was told by a CM that A would not open until the new show.

Seeing scary numbers and pictures of lines right after RD since reopening, had me just change our 915am TT FP on Sat June 4th to 9am Soarin and we will RD TT while the crowds all rush to Soarin!

To me this makes sense. I have neither the time nor the inclination to look up the original closure announcement ( yes, I'm lazy) but I seem to recall a statement that when the new theatre opened, each of the original theatres would close for a quick refurb before opening again with the new film. So it could be well over a month before all 3 are open at the same time.

^^^ I dunno what happened to my pp. My reply's inside the quote.
