Soarin' shown as being closed beginning January 4

according to the Disneyland calendar.

Not sure of the length or reason (i.e., if this is for Soarin Around the World or something else).

It'll be interesting if that actually happens. It seems kind of odd to close Soarin' before the official end of the holiday season. I noticed that the Disneyland.com website is incomplete regarding attraction hours for early January (e.g., both Haunted Mansion and IaSW are missing operating hours starting January 4th as well, but other attractions do have hours posted). I've read that Soarin' at Epcot is closing on January 4th. Maybe there was a mix up somewhere...

I am so thankful I will be seeing this in December because it always seems to be closed when we come. It's one of my favourites!

I just saw on TP that it is shown as closed from 1/4 to 6/2. The exact same dates as the WDW closure. Still holding out a little hope that it's just a mix-up, but super bummed that we'll miss it in February! We had originally planned to go to WDW in March, and when we switched to DL instead, I though at least I would get to ride Soarin' this way, lol! Oh well.

Also hoping it's a mix-up as we arrive on 1/6 and, as noted, the exact same closure window as WDW does lend some credence to that hope.

In addition, a 5 month closure window would indicate something rather major, such as changing to Soarin' over the World, but I thought I read somewhere that this wasn't supposed to start until after Shanghai Disney opened. So I'm not sure why they would need to close it for 5 months (at WDW, they're adding another theater but I've never heard this being in the plans at DCA).

MousePlanet is also reporting the Soarin' closure with a 1/4/16 closing date and TBD re-opening date.

*sigh* I guess we will be moving trip dates again. We're going May 21-28. We were going to go to WDW, but picked Disneyland because of the Soarin' closure... I'm taking my mom this time and it's her FAVORITE ride. Guess we'll be going in June or July. Oh well, summer weather in CA sure beats summer in FL...
