We will probably only be able to do one of these (FP for one, Anna/Elsa at rope drop). My daughter will be 4 on our trip (almost 5). Which ride does this age usually prefer?

Test track was down on our last trip but my then 4 year old loved Soaring. She still talks about it and can't wait to ride it again.

My 5 year old loves both. She likes designing the car for TT, but loves flying. I would say if they are into cars or thrill rides - pick TT. Otherwise, Soarin.

My kids were just turned 5 and 6yo. The loved both rides, but if asked what their favorite thing about Disney is, most of the time they say Soarin.

Soarin'

My pair thought TT was a little too fast, they were 6 when they tried it. But Soarin' was universally appealing to every age group.

My 4 year old DD and 5 year old niece loved TT. They liked Soarin too but preferred TT!

She will definitely love Soarin, she'd love Test Track if she likes fast things. Honestly if you get to Soarin at the right times it isn't *always* too busy. About 30 min after the park opened we got on Soarin with a 20 minute wait, whereas Test Track was long waits throughout the day.

Soarin, definitely. TT can actually be a bit frightening to the littles. My 3.5 yo enjoyed soarin, (we did not try TT at that age), and when we went back at 6yo, he still much preferred it over TT.

My four year old adored Test Track (laughed hysterically the entire time) and cried during Soarin'. I think TT was easier for her to understand.

My four year old son loves both! I didn't know how he would react to them, but we ended up riding each one multiple times. Great experience!

DD5 loved both, but the Soarin' queue is excruciatingly boring. I would suggest getting FP+ for that one.

But try to experience Test Track early in the morning before the lines build. Let kids design their own car - no rules! The go for a ride. :-)

Test Track has a lot of touch screen displays and videos throughout the queue, and they seem to be aimed at ages 3-10. If they are still working, the long lines will not seem so long.

My DD rode both when she was age 3. Soarin, we told her she would be flying like Peter Pan, and she absolutely loved that-- although at the end of the ride, she looked at me like I didn't have a brain in my head and said "That was like Diego, not Peter Pan, we were in a glider!"). At that age she loved them both and wanted to ride Test Track again, but decided she did not like TT the 2nd time through. At age 4, she loved Soarin, but was scared of TT and didn't really like it. Took another year or two before she really liked TT again.
Now that you have to choose one or the other to FP, I would say Soarin. But, that said, it really kind of depends on your child. Soarin is definitely the tamer ride of the two-it's a smooth sail. TT is jerky and bouncy and speedy.

My 4.5 year old LOVED Test Track. Soarin' was OK, but TT was by far his favorite. And then we spent almost another hour after the ride looking at all the cars and stuff.

If I were booking FP+, I would book Soarin'
When I went with my 5 year old, we pulled paper FP for TT, and he freaked out hearing and seeing how fast it was going--we gave our FP away. This same trip, he wanted to ride Thunder Mtn like 5 times, so go figure. :confused3

Anyhow, I say Soarin' b/c I think you will have better luck getting on TT without a FP AND b/c your DD could be intimidated and then you would have wasted the FP+ and you probably wont be able to reschedule it to Soarin'. (This is assuming you can still see the ride from the outside since the redesign. I think my DS's problem was seeing the ride and getting scared. Not a problem on Soarin')
