Soarin...is it worth it?

I love Soarin but I wouldnt wait for 2 hours for it. I wouldnt even wait an hour and half :confused3

No. I wouldn't wait 20 minutes for it. I don't really see the appeal. I don't really care about all the tourist stops in California. I came here to be choked by magic. This really doesn't have anything to do with Disney. Or Epcot. Epcot is about future. What does landforms in Cali have to do with that. Just my opinion though, I can see why people like it.

I think it's an enjoyable ride, but I don't see how it warrants such a long wait time. The ride isn't THAT good. It's a good nice sit down in the A/C, but I don't find anything to special about it. Longest I've waited for it that I can remember has been about 40 minutes, and that's because the posted wait time actually said it was less than that.

Unless I was with someone that hasn't been on it before or is just dying to go on it for whatever reason, longest I'd wait is about 20 minutes. Maybe 30.

I am glad their doing some filming over WDW and are going to be updating the ride.

I love Soarin'! A totally great Disney experience. but definitely a Fastpass ride. I've never stood in the standby line EVER. Only fastpass.

I like Soarin, if it wasn't for the terrible screens/projections. Seriously can't wait for them to replace the film so they can hopefully make it realistic again. When I look at it it reminds me of one of those old movie screens on a plane.

I think the longest I've waited for Soarin was about an hour, but the weather was really bad (storms with lots of lightning) so I figured I might as well wait in line as wait at the door to the pavilion for the weather to clear. You could hear the storm from the queue, and it didn't let up until I was in the boarding area.

But typically I won't get in any line with a posted time over 20 minutes.

Is Soarin worth the wait? That's a very subjective question, but I would say there isn't any attraction (including A&E or 7DMT) that is worth a two hour wait to me. But to others, it is. If it was your only visit to WDW and you couldn't get a FP+ and you really wanted to ride it, the wait might be worth it. If you're a frequent visitor, and you've been on it before, it probably wouldn't be.

I like Soarin', but I will only ride it using FP or first thing in the morning. I won't wait for anything more than 30 minutes.

I have been on Soarin and while I thought it was fun..I have to ask if it is 2 hours worth of wait time fun???? I might have waited if I hadn't ridden it before but now that I have I would move on or only ride with a Fast Pass. What is the longest you have waited for a ride? Was it because you had never ridden the ride or because it was that great? How long would you wait for the 7DM if you didn't have a FP?
Soarin' was probably the longest wait I've ever had, and it was only about 35-40 minutes (70 minutes was the posted time). I love Soarin', so if I didn't have a FP+, I would wait 70 minutes but probably no longer. Same with 7DMT. I don't think I'd wait much more than an hour for any ride. My bladder can't handle it.

I do love Soarin', and I think the first time I went to WDW as an adult we waited ~1 hour. We also waited that long for Nemo that trip. ::yes:: That was back in 2006, and at that time I was just remembering back to my childhood when everything at MK was an hour or 2 wait. 7 trips later and the Disboards, and I now know it's not necessary to wait like that if you can get a sound strategy! Also, now we've been enough times that if we have to miss this or that on one of our trips, no biggie, we'll be back! :thumbsup2

These days if we wait 30 minutes, that is a long wait for us. Let's hope FP+ doesn't change that! We'll find out in Sept.

With FP+ I'd FP Soarin. I think TT is worth the wait more than Soarin.
