I am the person who gets sick on Star Tours, Body Wars and the teacups, but BTMRR, SM and TOT don't bother me. What is the opinion about Soarin' for those of us with motion sickness?

so a few times I had to shut my eyes and not look.......the feeling was not there unless I looked at the ocean or the mts or being up in the hot air balloon.....I thought for sure I was falling out of my seat even though I wasn't....I do plan on trying this again next visit but once that day was enough for me........my husband and our two grandchildren did it four or five times.......they loved it

I get sick on all those motion rides also but I don't have any trouble with Soarin at CA. I get a slight headache but I think it is from the stuff they use for the smell. You really only go up at the beginning and down at the end and the lights are off then. I think you'll be fine. :teeth:

I rode Soarin' a few weeks ago and I did feel a little queasy for awhile after. I didn't really feel it while riding, but I commented to my husband twice after that I think it had affected me some. Star Tours made me feel much worse.

What about if you have a fear of height?

Got back Friday night after a great week in WDW! We rode Soarin' twice. The first time, as the seats started to lift, I found myself starting to feel a bit queasy and tensing up and thinking I was not going to be happy ... but fortunately that feeling didn't last long. (Of course I held on to the arm rests tightly during that first ride.) I have to say I loved it! We returned to Epcot a second day for the sole purpose of riding Soarin' again. Both times we were in row 1, which rises the highest. You might want to request row 3, which doesn't go up as high.

I have never been on TOT or RnR, but I love Star Tours.

I get dizzy on teacups, star tours, body wars

I had absolutely NO problems with soarin...LOVED it...as a matter of fact we did star tours 2 days later cause my son wanted to and I was dizzy for hours

As someone who is prone to motion sickness, I have to say Soarin' only bothered me very, very slightly, and I rode it twice. Star Tours, once each trip is more than enough! The good thing about Soarin', you can close your eyes and the feeling should go away, unlike Star Tours and Mission Space.

My sister gets terrible motion sickness even if she goes NEAR the teacups and she was fine with Soarin' -- She did say she closed her eyes once, but it was out of fear of getting sick, not because she actually felt queasy. She even went on it a 2nd time and was fine. I get sick sometimes, but only for something like Mission Space and I had no problems with Soarin' -- Give it a try, I think you will love it! :)
