Soarin and BattleStar Galactica Connection

I am not sure right now, but after watching video that we took while we were on line for Soarin last year, I noticed that the que music was very familiar. It is the same music used for the theme of the Old Battlestar Galactica show. Which, I would have to think, is a piece of classical music that was not written for the Sci-Fi show back in the 80's.

Am I off base with this. can someone confirm this?

You're off base.

Main Title: Theme from Battlestar Galactica was composed by Stu Phillips and series creator Glen A. Larson specifically for the show. They very much had John Williams' Star Wars soundtrack in mind when they wrote it.

Being an old BSG fan, I was absolutely delighted the first time I heard it in the Soarin' queue.
