I am coining the term...

The slots have been kinder today and I was able to switch from a boardwalk pool/garden 1 bedroom to resort view today. I say this is kinder because im preserving more points for longer stays 🤣🤣 the views here dont look bad for resort view at all, more like a garden view like vgf. Great point chart for a 1 bedroom at 19 points but I didnt notice a large gap from weekday to weekend of 19 to 27 points.

Yes i noticed that too! Hard to get those, barely any of those, I may put a waitlist for sh*ts and giggles, but I dont know, they say its great, but watching people walk by isn't really appealing to me i guess I'll have to experience it! Still trying to replace the whole damn thing with beach club ughhhh

Opinions please. I have one night booked after D23 at PIT for a Duo Studio Preferred View. When I went to book a single night to be able to do MM (after our stay at Coronado for the convention) PIT was the ONLY option. I figure a bunch of people didn’t get MM tickets and canceled their reservations because there now is a Preferred View Studio at Riviera open for one point more. Should I swap? I was excited to stay at PIT but also won’t be spending much time there since MM is most of the evening. Riviera is more convenient for the event since it’s at Hollywood Studios. So instead of having to drive I would be able to take skyliner back. We’ve stayed at Riviera before for a week in a two bedroom so it wouldn’t be a new experience for us.
I also currently have a waitlist I assume will not happen for Kilimanjaro Club studio.

For me it would be a yes solely for RIV being closer to HS for MM.

See map - most of the Resort view rooms look out to the entrance drive, some look toward the tennis courts. The most sought after request for 1BR are the x123 villas, which are at the corner and are larger. But due to window placement they cannot accommodate a Murphy in the living room, so they still have the queen sofa beds.

Alright Yall, i am in absolute shock, it finally happened and I got TWO consecutive nights at BCV!

I need four nights but its a start!! And while I am camping of all places and have zero reception for the dvc website and have to drive to the ranger station for wifi!

I decided to drive there to check expecting nothing and huzzah!!! I screamed and my wife looked at me like a psycho 🤣🤣

Congratulations! Persistence pays off!

I know this feeling allllllllllll too well. The slots have gotten me in trouble many times. SO many last minute trips just because I scored a good room. I am currently playing the slots for an Aug 31 BLT and I've been playing this particular one for a minute. I'm getting a little anxious. Somehow in the slots fray I have also ended up booking one night in a 3 bedroom. Lol

I hit the jackpot!

I booked 3 nights in a 1BR value at AKV at the 11-month window. A few weeks later, I was playing around on the website and the last 2 nights popped up available in a club-level studio...CHA-CHING! It's the same number of points so I immediately modified my reservation and grabbed it! Now, I had 1 night in a value 1BR, followed by 2 nights in a club-level studio. I decided to waitlist the first night for the club-level studio so that we wouldn't have to move but figured there's no way a club-level studio is going to come through in October. Wrong again! Two weeks later....CHA-CHING! Waitlist matched and I have three consecutive nights in a club-level studio! Our first (and probably only) concierge experience. Our arrival day was set for a Tuesday, but when flights came out, we finally had a non-stop option out of our home airport...but it arrives at 7:45pm:headache:. I wasn't about to lose a full day in our first concierge stay so we decided to arrive on Monday night and just stay at the airport Hyatt for the night. When the 7-month window opened up and I booked the second half of our stay, I had 10 points leftover....coincidentally, a value studio at AKV for Monday night is exactly 10 points...hmm....dare I pull the "DVC slot" one more time and waitlist for a value studio in October?? I'm a gambler so why not? CHA-CHING!!!!! JACKPOT again!!!! The waitlist filled! I cancelled the Hyatt stay and now we arrive and stay just a few hours in a value studio, followed by 3 nights in the club-level studio, and then 4 nights in a preferred (lake) view 1BR at BLT. To top it off, since we weren't staying at the Hyatt on arrival night, we decided to take an "early" flight home and stay at the airport on the way out.
You can start using the lounge immediately in the morning. So, can go to breakfast on your very first day. Psssst … the mimosas are great! Just ask for one :).
