Soaps Weekend?

Does anyone know when the Soaps weekend will be held at MGM this year? I've been trying for years to get my bf to go to Disney. Today she said she would go if we could go when they have the Soaps Weekend. I want to book it fast before she changes her mind.

Yikes! I'm replying to my own post! I was able to find the dates for this years ABC Soap Opera Weekend. They are November 10 and 11. Has anyone attended this event in the past? I would really appreciate any info you could share. Thanks!

I've been, it's awesome!!!!!!!! Theres alot of waiting to get fastpasses for the stars and they are limited but it is possible to get a couple in a day. The best tip is to arrive as early as you can at MGM if you really want to see anyone as the lineups to get into the park start early. They line you up to wait to get into the park based on which soap opera you want to get fast passes for. I'm hoping to go again this year as it is alot of fun.

Afehrman Thanks for replying. How does it work for fast passes if you want to see stars from two different soaps? Or it that just impossible?

I went last year for one day and it was awesome. I'm going again this year after a Disney Cruise. If you don't want to line up really early to get the fastpasses for autographs, you can just walk around to all of the autograph stations and you will be get close enough to get pictures of all of the stars. You just won't get autographs or pose with anyone. This is what I did last year, and I got some great pictures.

No matter what you will have a blast.

This is what you do to annoy an actor. LOL. He didn't mind though. I still wish Wally was on contract so he could go. He and his band went each year and were amazing.

Questions - Are both days similar or do they have different stars appearing each day? When do you find out who will be attending and is there a schedule posted? Is it best to get a fast pass for say AMC stars on one day and GH the next? As for arriving early - how early is early?

We're officially going booking the package this week. I'm so excited!

The schedule comes out about September. The actors/actressed are the same both day. The last year I went was the first year they started fast pass. Word of advice get fast pass for GH people first cause they have the most crowded lines.

I will be at wdw this time but have no interest in soap stars. What is the park like on those days? Avoid it completely or are the lines for rides short because everyone is waiting for autographs?
