Hi! Has anyone ever attended the Soap Opera Weekend at MGM? I think I have finally found the dates for this year - November 10 and 11. Just wondering what it is like. My bf said she will go to Disney with me if it's during the Soaps weekend.

Do you know if special tickets are necessary? Like for MVMCP?

I went from 2000-2003 and all you need is a disney park. It is in the MGM studio. Be warned now it is nuts. In order to see actors you need a fast pass which means before the doors open you will have to be outside at like 5 am or so. Who knows anymore.

Kim - Thanks for the info. That's what I was afraid of.:sad2: Don't know if I want to mention that to my bf - it may change her mind about the trip and I want to go so badly!:yay:

I haven't really watched the soaps since Luke and Laura got married (the first time) :lmao: My bf loves One Life to Live and General Hospital. One of them has some Irish actor that she is ga ga over. She's hoping he'll be there that weekend.

I would say someone has to do it at least once. If you have more questions feel free to PM cause you know this post will get lost.

*waves at Kim*

What a coincidence finding you here! LOL!!! Are u planning a Disney trip soon? :goodvibes

DH and I have been at MGM for the last two Super Soap Weekends, hey just happend to fall during the time we were going to be on vacation. We went of Saturday both times, and not to see te stars but just to do the park. We had virtually no wait on almost every attraction because most everyone was there for the stars so it was great for us. The crowds are outrageous around the meet and greet areas, but once you get used to navigating through them it's fine. We aren't going this year :sad1: Have to save up money for a yr, but will be there in Nov 2008.

well it just so happens that Im going that week 11/9-16 to celebrate my 50th bday (on the 13th)
I'll be catching the end of the F&W, Soap Opera wknd, my birthday and MVMCP

Thanks Kim. I appreciate it. I'll check with my bf and see if she has any questions. I see you're headed to the world in a couple of weeks. Lucky you!

Hi Piglet! Thanks for sharing. Sounds like it will work out well for me :lmao: since I'm not into the soaps. My plan is to get my bf in the line she needs to be in and run off to enjoy the park  Any tips on what the weather is like that time of year?

Duh! I guess I was having a senior moment :lmao: Last time we were at Disney we attended the Food and Wine Festival :rotfl:

Make sure you stop at Town Hall and get a birthday button - that way everyone can share in your special day.
