Soaking Tubs

Does anyone know if there are any guidelines or restrictions regarding the use of bath salts or bubble bath in the soaking tubs in the 1BR? Just wondering as I plan for our next trip. Thanks!

Just be verrrrrrrrrrrry careful with bubble bath or you may have a scene out of and old movie with suds everywhere. I think I have read where people have used some of the products sold at the bath store in DTD in these tubs. I have never read anything about any restrictions or seen anything in the rooms to indicate that there are any. Enjoy

Don't turn on the tub jets if you have bubbles in the tub. You will have a mess.

It is a ball or cube of bath salts and fragrance. They have a store at DTD that sells all different scents and sizes.

You can bring your own or do like I do and use the shower gel for bubbles when I run out of my Mystical Forest bubbles from SSR spa!

Rarely do I turn the jets on. Cant hear the tv with the jets on

No, I've never heard of any restrictions......however, as stated above if using bubbles, I wouldn't turn the jets on. If we're using the tub during our stay (usually if our 7 yr old grandson is with us) I always clean/sanitize the jets before I allow him to use it........very easy to do......fill the tub and add 1 cup bleach and a little sprinkle of the automatic dishwash detergent from the kitchen.....turn the jets on and let run for about 15 minutes....drain, refill with clean water, and run again to rinse the jets. Our spa service tech at home told me to do this whenever using a hotel jetted tub since they are notorious for harboring all kinds of bacteria in the jet tubing and this solution will sanitize and kill anything living in the tubing. He actually told me it's like taking a bath with all the previous guests who stayed in that room............no thank you!!!

We were at SSR in March and my 4 year old loved bubble baths in the tub. I brought along good ol' Mr. Bubble and it was great. Yes, when the jets are on the bubbles increase, so when the bubbles started to get too high, we shut the jets off. Then after playing a while and the bubbles were disappearing, we just turned the jets back on and the bubbles came right back! We had a great time with it. I swear, to my son, this was one of the highlights of his vacation!

I stayed at SSR a couple of weeks ago and filled the tub up with bubble bath and turn the jets on What a mess I had, water was going everywhere, my husband was cracking up up week. It felt like I was in an old movie. I was scared to turn the jets on all week. I learn my lesson.

Oh come on now bubble bath in a jetted tub is fun, just follow 2 simple rules.

1 make sure the jets are well submerged at all times
2 only run the jets for very brief period of time.

Best bubble bath you will every have.

By the way it does take a while for the bubbles to dissipate when you drain the tub.

Actually, most Jacuzzi manufacturers specifically recommend to NOT use bubble bath and bath oil products. It tends to harm the inner workings, and might make it uncomfortable for the next guest.

Remember, these are NOT soaking tubs...they are whirlpool baths.

I have one in my home and have used all the above for years and years with no problems.

Careful with oil products because you can hurt yourself getting out and they tend to leave a layer on the bottom that lasts into the next bath.

Avoid all the bath bombs and salts at the Basin DTD store. Too much money for too little results. If you want a really nice experience buy their milk bath product out of one of their cooler displays.

If you have an opportunity to shop at a grocery storey the best bath for the money is the vaseline bath beads (generic brands available). Nice fragrance and unlike other moisturizing baths they don't leave you feeling greasy.

Don't ignore the good old fashioned epsom salts. After a long day of parking you really can't beat it for weary muscles. There may not be any scent but it will definitely make you feel better.
