Nice summary Usnuz, I was at band. Heating up a cuppa chowda and feeding the kids.

Now Queenie owes us something for holding out with all those cupcakes she never shared. I know, she can take all the extra weight.

I know. My husband brought takeout for dinner, multiple Facebook friends posted food, I read your trip report with all the food porn, then I see Queenie's cupcake shop. What does all this mean? It is the most food I've seen in months on the day I am told to lose weight.

I guess... I'm just trying not to think about it too much and just enjoy whatever this is :lmao: We discussed it last week and he said "girls our age are too much drama... but you're not that much drama" and I'm sitting there like :headache:. But yeah, I'm definitely attracted to him and I know he's attracted to me, so I have no idea where this is going. But at least I have a new friend, even if it never goes in that direction :)

Well whether he becomes a new friend or something more, it sounds promising. The more relaxed and yourself you are, the better.

No, you cant take my job:sad1: Its my paycheck to go to WDW in 2013. I get a dime for every page I turn.

I know. You are tough competition, which is why I aimed low. I hope I can get at least five. You can have the majority of the other 245 or so.

If I carried change, I'd do a quarter for every page I turned. I just don't carry change often :lmao:

I cant, quarters go for my laundry. I guess I need to work overtime and start with a dollar bill. Sheesh.

Yeah, I see all that food. I will say one thing while on our cruise I got so full that going to the dining room I ordered dinner and didnt eat it. But that will be told in the TR.

We have a washer and dryer in our basement, so thankfully, I don't need quarters to do it unless one or the other isn't working for some reason. I actually did laundry today :lmao:

Its weird to have the windows open in feburary. Its in the 70's I think

I really was thinking about warmer days to come when I was plowing the driveway. Right now there is snow in the forecast for the next ten days. Mild Winter for snowfall may become average winter real quick.

Isnt it hard to ski on snow if it is soft? Doesnt it need to be hard packed? I dont know, only ski once. Wasnt pretty:rotfl:

Yes, until you ski a lot. DS were talking about getting better at skiing today. I said well I have been riding this chairlift for 20 years. I told him not to worry, he should be better than me in a couple years.

Thanks everyone. I am actually looking forward to losing weight for this and other reasons as well. I was just hoping the dizziness would go away first. I do not want to pass out and fall off the treadmill.

Hopefully this is good motivation and loosing some weight helps everything.

And me I am now trying to keep up with 3 forums.

Me too, I notice reading one TR that is looks like i had just read it. It was Alison's Valentines day report, I opened it twice.

I have never been skiing in my life. It is certainly on my bucket list. Sounds fun.

I've had a lot of fun doing it. It's good to try but remember it's not easy. But I bet you didn't swim laps your first time in a pool, or hit the first pitch playing basball. All sports require some skill and practice.

Inspiration! Do you have one that passes out and falls on the floor? I may need that one if I do not get my dizziness under control. I almost passed out the other day getting up too fast from the sofa.

I have that problem to some extent, but I have never passed out...yet.

I do have valium on hand in case the Vertigo comes back.

I have given up on skiing. We did it when I was a kid, and I was pretty good. Then I didn't do it again until I was with the ex-husband. He tried to teach me to ski and that was a disaster. Then there was a trip to Park City with some friends, I bit the dust on the green trails, hit my head and won a no expense paid trip to the Urgent Care. Luckily it was right around the corner from our condo. I ended up cooking for the guys for the rest of the week.

hit my head and won a no expense paid trip to the Urgent Care. ..... I ended up cooking for the guys for the rest of the week.

So you won twice, what luck!

Good night everyone. I'm going to bed dreaming of gibsons and lobster.

I was thinking about dreaming gibsons and lobsters and then I saw this....

Queenie - you're still holding out on us. All I see is a shop front. Where are the CUPCAKES??????

The Doctor says I have a hiatal hernia and chronic gastritis. There were no infections or cancers. Those diagnoses explain most of my symptoms, like chest pain, difficulty beathing, acid reflux, abdominal pain, nausea, etc. Nothing on the colonoscopy, endoscopy or CT scan explain why my liver enzymes were elevated. I had labs drawn today to see if they are still elevated. My follow up on that is in two weeks. Hopefully, they are not. Even if they are, he says I should not worry, since I never drink.

Nothing he discovered explains my dizziness, so he suggests I see an endocrinologist. I will have to go back to my PCP to get a referral for that. Stupid HMOs. At least my ears and stomach have been cleared for what is causing my dizziness. I get so dizzy at times that I cannot really function.

He renewed my Zantac 150 to help with the acid reflux. For the hernia, he suggests that I lose 5-10lbs. They do not like to operate on them, since half of the operations end in bleeding out or infections. Sometimes they correct themselves with weight loss and slip into place. Here's hoping that happens for me. The pregnancy pushed part of my stomach into my chest. I could stand to lose more than 10lbs anyway.

PubMed suggests I limit my pain releivers to help out the gastritis. I take something everyday for my cluster headaches. Before I was pregnant, I took Excedrin. When I was pregnant, I took tylenol. Now that I am nursing, I take Motrin. Looks like I will just have to suffer med free through my headaches. There are worse things I guess.

Overall, I am happy that I do not have anything too serious although, I am sad that it was not an infection that could cure my issues with a few pills.

That's quite a list. Good news and bad news.

And in terms of losing weight, Alison and I and Steph (another Disser) occassionally hang out on a thread in the WISH subforum. I've been getting serious about losing 10 kg (about 22 lbs) this year. So far, I've lost 2.9 kg (over 6 lbs) in 5 weeks. If you need somewhere to hang out or some support, come on over to the Boo to Us thread!

Great update!

The operative word is "should" be getting ready for my trip, but I have to pull together the budget at work before I leave so nothing is getting done at home. It's only for around 550+ employees, 30+ work groups and over $150M. I feel like I'm herding cats this year.:rotfl:

We're also pulling a budget at work. Herding cats is easier. I started the task and babysat it until we had a proper finance person start with us. I was glad to hand it over to him. Most people were doubling up and when I rang them to justify their numbers...most couldn't. :sad2:

Now I want to read it all. :rotfl2: Thanks for the encouragement.

Today I went skiing, is was really good, snowing all day and soft all over the hill. Got home, and had to plow the driveway so i can make it to school in the morning. Made dinner, did homework with DS put him to bed. Then tried to catch up on some TV I recorded but the internet is getting in the way.

I wanna have most of your day. Be great skiing, making dinner, helping out with homework and putting DS to bed. Pick the activity I skipped out on. :rolleyes1

Still sounds like lusty like to me!

Cooking and you??? Somehow....I can just see that!

Been a hard 2 days at work so far. Thankfully, I have Thursday tomorrow and no work. Also have massage and chiro booked in. :thumbsup2

My challenge for tomorrow is not to peek at the work smartphone and check my emails.

And Queenie....if you're checking the boards and haven't caught up on the news....

ex-Prime Minister and now ex-Foreign Minister Rudd resigned from being a Front Bencher today. He's in Washington and must have stayed up to nearly midnight. Announcement came out at 5.30 pm our time...just in time to make the 6 pm news. He says he's going to sit on the Back Bench. Plus...he's gonna take the weekend to 'talk things over with the family'. Wonder if we're gonna be heading back to polls in less than 18 months????

Queenie is busy, trying to figure out her own budget numbers from her shop. This is why you see no pictures of her cupcakes. Well that may be good for all of us, we are not drooling and wanting them.

I dont like figuring out anyones budget. Skiing is not something I would never try again.

Kmedina, I dont know but do your sinuses bother you? I know that as I got older, I would get more light headed from the pressure. Sometimes sinuses can do bizzare things. My sinuses are in full force this year since everything is blooming much earlier. I notice when we come and vacation in Vegas, in the heat my sinuses are at there worst.

No it ain't easy. But it can be fun. :thumbsup2

Umm. Sorry no cupcake photos as the shop was closed. I did eat a traditional pastie from an award winning shop but no photo as I scoffed it very quickly :rolleyes1

yeah DBF told me this morning. Rudd was a lesser of two evils. An election would be nice.

hmm.
Well I might just ignore you on that front as I do have one food photo.

Kmedina I hope you can start getting better soon. At least you have some answers and treatment plans
