He'd better not. I'm going, one way or the other. But yeah, he pulls this kind of crap all the time, for EVERYONE in this family, not just me. And he wonders why we don't like him very much.

Thinking about the neighbor and cats reminded me of some pets I know and knew.

My friends cat is old. Really old, and something it did was rough because it has lost a lot of teeth. But it's super friendly.

So it goes outside and approaches people on the sidewalk or house nearby. It will sit mew until they pet it. People see it has no teeth and think it's been abused or abandoned. So instead of calling the number on the collar they call the police to get the dog catcher. Several times this fat cat has been picked up never more than 100 feet from its own house.

Yeah, Fran's father was so proud of himself that he never let anyone do anything for him, so he never owed anyone anything. Funny no one asked why her parents didn't have a funeral. We donated his body to science and only a few neighbors came by as we cleaned out the house and asked what happened to him. No one cared.

As for my office. Thank you for the kind words. It's just so frustrating.
Our office just finished completing the interior fitout of the headquarters of one of the largest companies in Australia. It's amazing. It's light and bright. It's warm and welcoming. We are also doing the Sydney head office of that huge company with a website most of us use daily.......you can figure it out.

But what I walk into is a disaster. Currently the head of admin sits near me and she's been worked to the bone. None of the delays are her fault. But they do fall on more than suppliers shoulders.

I know how skilled some people in this company are. But we're all suffering. Even the flipping coffee machine is broken.


But regardless of the general issues. This is OH&S the lighting.
My eyes are bad enough at the best of times.

Oh well.

WOW! The Dis is a PITA!

Tonight was my last night at the cake decorating class... This was my cake:

I did the chocolate frosting at home, but everything else was done in class. I discovered that I really like making roses

Yum! I love making roses too. I used to make them at the weekend when I was working in the ice cream shop. The frosting was a very soft/firm frosting and easy to work with.

Me too! I want to find something really vindictive and malicious that can't be traced to us and really messes her up, we can think about it for a while. This is the second time she's done this to us.

I like serving things cold.....not too cold....but cold.

Day was ok.
It got more 'interesting' as the head of admin sits in "our" section for now...so I've been getting a lot of the gossip. And learning what a nightmare building management of the old place was...

But it is going to be an issue this lighting. Especially if we keep having humid nights and I don't sleep...

Still waiting around for consultants. I'm sitting next to my boss now...but it's my 'normal Aussie' boss...lol...who is a firm believer in leaving on time...or early if feeling unwell.

I'm giving up on the Melbourne DisMeet. I posted before Christmas and there was a loud earth shattering silent treatment. I guess it was me....

I promised a friend of mine that we would visit her this year. She lives in Darling Harbour and has a spare room. Her daughter and DS get on really well (we went to the Yarra Valley with them)....and I've been wondering when would be a good time.

I was thinking about a long weekend and I'll think about it after we get back from Hong Kong.

I've tentatively got the Queen's Birthday weekend in mind; except that DH might be travelling at that time.
