You hit the dis at the right time, now its slow. Dumb Dis! Not much here, how is work? How is the weather? We need rain so bad and it is not coming. Hope you have a great day at work.
Dana. Awesome cake. I wish you could earn money with those skills. The cupcake place I love has had hiring signs out everysooften. It's just a shame you weren't even able to get a foot in the door at places like that.
Wishing you all the best at the new job. What are you planning to study later on?
I think I've missed something about your dad. Maybe you discussed it elsewhere. I'm sorry I don't follow many threads.
I'm sorry your dad has given you a hard time about things
It's such an awful position to be put in.
Honestly, I don't think I could do it for a living. I'm concerned about my love for it diminishing if I'm doing it every day as a career, and I also know that my carpal tunnel would just get worse. I have moderate carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists and it's been flaring up lately. I'm planning on going to school for secondary education, to teach high school English.
That's the only reason my dad's okay with it, because Mike's selling it to me so cheap.Yum! I love making roses too. I used to make them at the weekend when I was working in the ice cream shop. The frosting was a very soft/firm frosting and easy to work with.
Yours look great.
Can't wait for the gamer's meet.
I just picked up a can of the pre-made frosting from the cake aisle (it's specifically for roses and such, but can be watered down for medium or thin consistency) and used that.Thinking about the neighbor and cats reminded me of some pets I know and knew.
My friends cat is old. Really old, and something it did was rough because it has lost a lot of teeth. But it's super friendly.
So it goes outside and approaches people on the sidewalk or house nearby. It will sit mew until they pet it. People see it has no teeth and think it's been abused or abandoned. So instead of calling the number on the collar they call the police to get the dog catcher. Several times this fat cat has been picked up never more than 100 feet from its own house.
The Dis is an absolute PITA right now!
I started a thread about this, Mary Jo responded and I in turn asked her if she knew anything, but I havent heard back yet.
Yeah, Fran's father was so proud of himself that he never let anyone do anything for him, so he never owed anyone anything. Funny no one asked why her parents didn't have a funeral. We donated his body to science and only a few neighbors came by as we cleaned out the house and asked what happened to him. No one cared.
Sorry to hear about the witch trouble too.As for my office. Thank you for the kind words. It's just so frustrating.
Our office just finished completing the interior fitout of the headquarters of one of the largest companies in Australia. It's amazing. It's light and bright. It's warm and welcoming. We are also doing the Sydney head office of that huge company with a website most of us use daily.......you can figure it out.
But what I walk into is a disaster.
I know how skilled some people in this company are. But we're all suffering. Even the flipping coffee machine is broken.![]()
Two small steps forward today. Last week, it was 5 gigantic steps back.
It's not quite working for me yet, but I keep hoping. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day for all of us.Maybe tomorrow will be a better day for all of us.
Annie is still right. The sun will come up tomorrow.
