P-I-N-K ticker???? What happened to Villians; not pink and hapless heroes?

$1700 is a reasonable price for a trip to UK. Are you shipping Aussie currency to GBP as quickly as you can? 70 cents exchange rate. I remember when 70 cents was a GREAT rate for going to the US.

So....more importantly......are you gonna see his family?????

The least I could find (on a 'reliable' and NOT via the UAE airline) was Virgin at $1733.
So with 2 bags and extra legroom...me happy!
And yes...
Me changing money ASAP.

Family...well I have "met" all the family except the parents. I'm not sure I'll ever meet them :lmao:

I'd love to visit the "sister" and godchildren again but we'll be based in the west midlands...and they're in Kent...

I don't want to meet any of his other family again....or friends...

According to our TA United don't like to sell flights to Europe for under $2600

I was referring to his "other family". I know you had met most of the family and friends over there and had trouble with one of them.

How long are you gone for? Going to Paris this time?

My heart's a bit aflutter today...

Other family?
Biological sister is persona non grata and now disowned by his parents.
He still lives part time with his parents ... but he isn't in their will :rolleyes1

I've met all the "adopted" ones...

This is a simple relaxing chilling together trip. He now rents a house in the midlands so we will be based there. There's World Heritage listed places to visit. (Google Ironbridge...that's a place to visit) And so I'm really letting him dictate itinerary.

I need rest and cuddles. Places to see and SHOP!!!!!!!!!

England at a 70 cent exchange rate is a bargain! I was seriously looking at the exchange rate and wondering if I need to consider exchanging some currency. Not that I'm heading there any time soon....

I know. It was 63-65 when I went in Feb last year. Which wasn't half bad. But the itinerary was a mess and the 'friend' we went to the shops with is the OPPOSITE to me in size, shape and clothing selection so it was a fruitless day of shopping :(

If you have the spare cash it might be worth doing? But not really sure???

Nice bridge. Nicer looking town.

But I'd be chasing these....

Selfridges and H&M? Or is it Karen Miller and Burberry?

Always worth the hedge. I do have Europe in my sights....just a matter of when. If it weren't for the 2013 trip to WDW, I would seriously be considering it. Ah well...just as well I really want to catch up with the Gamers.

Next ("normal" but really nice clothes)

:thumbsup2

My mum mentioned that pass about 2 hours ago :lmao:

I'll look at it....

DBF just did a 24hr shift...
So I'll look through some stuff tomorrow before bombarding him ;)

I'm in serious need of relaxation :faint:

I preferred English heritage pass to National Trust.

You didn't say how long you were gone for. Work okay with it?

It's not that I don't like the DIS and people on it...
But my life is just so complicated as it is I can't 'plan' for a meet up like that. It's hard enough timing seeing DBF :sad2:
I DO know I want to be at Epcot Center for it's 30th Birthday...which is a mere few months after mine...but I also know that it won't be likely happen.

So what's on your weekend Itinerary?

I need to get my preparation done for Chinese New Year. I haven't told DH but I think I might need to take a trip into the city either Saturday or Sunday....or Sunday.

My life? Work, family and the Dis.

2 weeks effectively.
Work is ok. I'm not going into details at all but it is in part a medical thing on his side too...nothing major yet. Just...stuff...

My boss (immediate boss) is lovely and a very 'family' man. This does fit in our schedule. And the father of the 'rabbit' will be back at work next week.

Going to bed soon...but just enjoying the AC. Which is only in the Rumpus Room.

Enjoy your planning. You don't have long to countdown. :thumbsup2

For New Year's dinner (monday) I just bought stuff today for Yee Sang - a heap of pickled stuff and I need to add raw salmon, carrots, pea shoots and probably some turnip. I'm hoping that mum will have a steamed fish...although now that I think about it, highly unlikely. There will probably be roast pork...both the BBQ and the crackling skin variety.

For New Year's Eve dinner, mum will be doing a steam boat.

I have high hopes for food porn this weekend.
