Happy Saturday!

Thanks for the cartwheeling smilie, Usnuz! They should add that the the Dis boards standards. Did you get your grocery order in? I've got to get my pizza & wing order for tomarrow in to our fav pizzaria. Don't want to wait til tomarrow & have to wait for hours to get it.

Franandaj: we're going May 15 -19th. YC lagoon view club, it's our favorite. I was considering GF main building, but with only 4 nights, I couldn't justify the cost. And I would have missed Storm Along Bay. We're going Tues to Sat. I was looking at Mon - Fri, but Davy Jones is at Epcot Friday. Couldn't miss him! :lovestruc

DisneyFireFly, that cake had me drooling! Good thing I don't live near you; I'd be at your house looking for goodies all the time. :rotfl:

PIO & Queenie, hope you get all your currency exchanged while the rates are still good. Sounds like amazing rates. Are you packing warm clothes, Queenie? Sounds like Europe is having a bad winter.

Skiingfast, do you still have snow? Ours all melted early this week. And none in the forecast! :thumbsup2 My DH is outside washing his car. Temp is about 40. He's a clean car nut. :rotfl:

No, did not get my grocery order in. Oh well. Davy Jones. Hmm... well I hope you have a great time and bring back lots of pics for us!!

Well you guys at least have gift cards, so you know what those are right? :confused3

It's very simple really. Do your stores have loyalty programs? Where you get a little card that gets you special offers at the grocery stores, like "50% off all beef roasts with your club card". "Earn free groceries while you shop, get one point for every dollar you spend."

We have loyalty cards but it doesn't work like that over here. The supermarkets have teamed up with some of the gas companies and offer loyalty cards. Groceries aren't cheaper and the supermarkets do their normal discounting on certain items every week. We just buy as normal and we earn points on the card. Sometimes, we might get a mail-out advising that we would get double or triple points for certain items; but the reward isn't instant gratification. There are a heap of "gifts" that we can redeem the points for.....travel, electronics and yes, even gift cards for the store. But you need to rack up a heap of points in order to get a gift card. The good thing is that there isn't a one store one loyalty card thing....over here we have a supermarket, a gas chain, a liquor store, and a bunch of other little traders, some department stores etc that you can accumulate points for the same loyalty card.

There is even one chain of grocers that has a "community benefits" card. You don't get the benefits. You nominate a school or a community club and they get the benefits.

And the teaming up with the gas company? ff you spend more than $30 on your groceries, your receipt will provide you with a coupon that you can redeem for 4 cents off your gas at the bowser. You don't need to have a loyalty card for that coupon.

Enjoy! Davy Jones should be fun.

seems to be. DH and I settled on a make/model yesterday. I think I'll be placing the order on-line today. Might take up to 14 days for delivery.

We did. The shops have the make and model but not the right configuration, software or warranty.
Plus DH has access to a discount code for on-line orders, which makes it cheaper.

To storage?

No we have a garage at the 5 unit building with extra space (it's where the building curves at a 120 degree angle. There are some shelves and extra space. We took all the crap left from the Estate Sale over for the next one.

Ours aren't instant either, every three months. And yeah you DO have to rack up a heap of points for anything good. That's why we buy so many gift cards. Ours also gives to the community, our band gets a check every quarter. Vons does the gasoline stuff, but you have to spend $50 for 3 cents off.

Gardening now.

It's very shocking and disturbing the images from Eastern Europe :sad2:

It's not so bad in the UK but DBF did get caught in a snow storm between IKEA and home for what normally takes 20mins took over 2 hours :headache:
He then went for food supplies and bought a snow shovel as well. He used the shovel twice getting home....

I'm really hoping things aren't so bad next week :confused3

Yup. Like what I did.
As expensive as it was my macbook was bought through the company my father works for which saved about $1000. It was weird how the discounts applied to different components. Not always a same percentage.
Like adding applecare was a big discount, but not other things...

Its nice for gardening. What is the weather like today?

Cloudy, with a chance of storms.

Not cloudy but sunny, hot and steamy :headache:
