Oh wow what a nightmare for you, really hoping your DD decides to come home I remember at a nursery I worked at there was a similar situation (abusive partner) and a grandma ended up with custody of her 2 grand-daughters. It's evident that they're much better off now so if this is the route you end up deciding to go I wish you all the best

all i can do tomorrow is speak to the social worker to see whats happening there in Manchester, our next step now is to look into custody of the baby, but all this is new ground to me and so its difficult to know who to speak to/where to start etc.

I'm guessing the social workers are the best place to start, they should be able to advise you.

I'm hoping the social services do step in here Netty, she really needs someone to take over and maybe then she will realise whats best for Charlie. I'm hoping you get better news today but I fear until she has made up her mind herself to change the circle of destruction she has got herself into, she may just keep hiding her head in the sand.

I've only just read this. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

Does she know you're considering custody of Charlie? If not maybe that will knock some sense into her, if you tell her to come back today or you'll start procedings as you fear for his safety? You know your daughter, will that make her come back?

I know it's not ideal, but safety comes before loyalty when it comes to your kids.

Is she not answering when you ring her? Might be better to talk to her instead of texting?

I really hope she's back today. xxx
