Question for parents... who plays the bad guy, the one who says "NO" etc. in your family?
My DH is a pushover. I swear he cannot say NO to our child. I travel quite a bit tonight it happened again. I get a call, hi, how's it going, oh, DS wants to ask you something.....
"Mom, I've been saving my allowance, can I buy a Yu-Gi-Oh card on e-bay, it's only $30!!!!"
Now DH and I have had this discussion many times, if DS wants to spend his allowance on packs of cards, fine. But we think it's ridiculous to pay $10, $20, $30 or more for a single card! It's a FAD. He won't even be remotely interested in these in a year or so, and by then they will be worthless anyway.
(Anyone in the market for a few hundred Pokemon cards?)
