Not sure how good it will be, but I'm really looking forward to seeing "Garfield" too.

Who's looking forward to Shrek 2???

Me! Me! OOOH OOOH Pick me!!!Pick me!!!Pick me!!!Pick me!!!

The first Shrek was just OK for me. I'm not real excited about the sequel. I'll probably see it eventually on DVD, but I won't be running to the theater for it.

I have two five year-old boys so it doesn't matter if I am looking forward to it or not. I will be there on opening day.:)

DS and I really enjoyed the first one so we're excited about the sequel. It's cool to see Puss in Boots in the ads. :)

Shrek Rules! The first one is one of my favorite movies. It has been pushed back two days to a release of May 19th now, well atleast here in NY. Im going right after school that day. Its gonna be awesome.

Sure, I'm a huge Disney fan. Sure, I was a little biased. Sure, I saw Shrek when it first opened. Sure, I thought that the animation was some of the most amazing that I had ever seen. Sure, it had Eddie Murphy, Mike Meyers, John Lithgow and Cameron Diaz in it. Honestly, I wasn't really impressed with the story. It had some funny lines, mainly from Eddie Murphy. Mike Meyers just annoys the heck out of me. I probably wouldn't have liked him in any Disney movie either. I won't be running to the movie theater to go see Shrek 2. I'll have to wait for it to come out on DVD anyway. I am due with my second child any day now! :)

I flat-out loved Shrek. I am a huge fan of post-modern humor and the brand used in the original struck me just right. I was "laughing in the aisles."

I'm cautiously optimistic about Shrek 2. Partly due to only semi-interesting tv ads and partly because I was left a little flat by the movie that comprises the Shrek attraction at USF.

Although sequels usually aren't as good as their predecessors, I think I'd like to see Shrek 2. In fact, I wonder if AMC 24 Pleasure Island will be playing it. Hmmm...I guess I'll find out...

Personally I found Shrek OK but not that great? The animation was nice and the voice acting was good but the story line felt a little conservative, a little too safe? It was funny but not that funny :)

Honestly,

I saw Shrek and enjoyed it, but I agree, it is no classic. When the "sidekick" donkey is a more memorable and endearing character than the "title" character there is a problem.

I wasn't blown away by the first one. I'll probably see "2" when it comes out on video.

I could pass hee. The first one was good. Nothing great. But good.
Agree -- when the most interesting character is a donkey, how good can it be?
Other than the donkey, I would have liked it better had they chosen different voiceover actors.

Shrek SUCKS!! Those of you who say that you are die hard Disney fans and LOVE Shrek should be ashamed of yourselves!

I am a Die Hard Disney Fan, and dh and I both loved Shrek - I see nothing similiar with the two, so I don't understand.

Everyone has their own movie likes and dislikes - I don't see the corolation....it was well done - it just wasn't labeled a Disney movie.

I am looking forward to Shrek 2 - so, nya, nya

was it not obvious that they mocked and made fun of Disney throughout the entire movie.

While I noticed the use of some Disney in the movie, I never looked at it as making fun of or mocking.

Now, if they came out with a movie such as Scary Movie 4 (and just as an example, not that particular movie) and made fun of Disney that way, it would upset me a bit.

I didn't find any harm done in the movie - it was all in good fun. I never thought otherwise.
