I was just sitting here and thinking about what CM's have done for pin trading... And I would like to thank them by posting it here.

First I would like to thank Jim Matthews. For with out him I don't think pin trading would be what it is today.

I would also like to thank Scoop. He is one of the great ones. He goes way out of his way to make sure you enjoy yourself while pin trading.

Also the Super Traders... All of them. Amy, Mike and Darren as well as those that have moved on... David and Brian. You all do a great job... With out you I don't think it could survive...

The manager at the Garden Grill... I can't remember her name but she gave me a pin that I will always love. It was one of my favorite trades. THANK YOU!!!

And all the CM's who wear lanyards. Thank you for putting up with us... You have made all our vists magical...

So what CM on or not on this list would you like to say thank you... Even if you can't remeber thier name...

While we were visiting WDW, last September, I was having a difficult day. I don't remember the details but one CM, named Dinah, went out of her way to make me smile. She was not wearing a lanyard, as she was with a character, but I gave her a WWWD pin anyway. Her exuberance was infectious. We ran into her later in the day and made plans to meet later that evening. She brought some CM pins with her and we had a great time trading. What a sweetie!! I've seen her again, by chance, on two other visits. Her smile is a mile wide!! If you see her, say "HI!"

Nat, I second all those you mentioned. Here's one more - Leighton. I have seen him help so many people.

This goes back to our dec 2000 trip but my favorite cm, who I do not know the name of, was working at the gift shop at All Star Movies. He would do the mystery pin lanyard game and help you choose the best ones. He also went out of his way to find a cm that had the TON parade pins my dd was hoping to trade for and she was able to get two more elusive ones. He made us newbies have so much fun and excitement that he hooked all three of us to pin trading for good. Also made me go into the giftshop when we left and when we came back so I spent more money so good for Disney as well.

Good thread!

First would have to be Leighton -- I presume he's still at the Boardwalk Pin Cart.
Leighton was the one who introduced me to the DIS boards, and invited me to my first DIS pin meet! He's fabulous!

And then next would be CM Audrey -- you know who you are! I ran into her a few times my last trip to WDW. I had had my wallet stolen and was having a miserable day and her sweetness and sincerity was really uplifting. Before I left -- my last night there -- she managed to get me a pin I'd been trying to trade for all week (and she wouldn't take anything in return!). It was such a sweet gesture. I've seen her trade with all kinds of folks -- most who have no idea what they are doing -- and she's just been super with every one of them.

Then there are so many others whose names I didn't get -- all the CMs wearing those lanyards in the park who, like NHMickey says, put up with all of us all day long. Very long suffering folks, most of them!

 THANKS  THANKS  THANKS  THANKS

I can't believe I forgot to thank the Disney Store CMs... Thank you for not locking the doors on saturdays....

I would sincerely like to thank Mike, a super trader, a super Cast Member and a really great guy. Thank you for making me feel so special.

And Scoop - truly introduced me to the real meaning of pin trading and making me realize that it is not just about getting a good pin, but enjoying the friendship and fun of pin trading.

And to all the Cast Members with lanyards that did not think I was crazy when I wanted all their Flex pins.

And to Mary at Innoventions - thanks for my special pin - and I have some Goofy pins for you when I see you again.

And to our own local Cast Member, Suzi, for working so hard to have such wonderful Pin Events for when we are not able to make that 1000 mile trip. Bringing a little bit of Disney to our own back yard. Thank you.

Darlene
