Second Contract Welcome Home Stay

First off, this community is awesome. I'm so happy to have found you all, you're all so helpful!

Earlier this summer we decided to make the leap and become DVC members. We picking up a direct contract at Poly and got help from Member Services to book a welcome home stay in November. Even though all the 1BR were full at PVB, they were able to pixie dust us into a 1BR at BLT. Addonitis has hit hard since then, and we're considering purchasing another direct contract at RIV.

Since we're still kind of new at this, does anyone know if you can get the same level of pixie dust support for the first stay on a second contract (or if it's the sort of thing we should bring up with our sales guide)? Targeting Riv 1BR resort view in February if it matters.
 
I believe the answer is no, but you can still ask your guide. The Welcome Home Stay is a perk for your first ever stay on direct points. It's to help with your first time reserving something using the system.

On your first contract, if you had already booked something, they would not have helped with the Welcome Home.

It seems to be a member benefit, not a per contract benefit. They will be able to see that you've booked already.

EDIT: I'm very happy that there are reports getting Welcome Home Stays for a second contract!!

Interesting....about 2 years ago I bought RR points, direct, and, before I finalized the purchase, I asked for a welcome home assist in booking our first RR stay....was told by my guide that she'd be happy to help me, but that she can't do anything I can't do....she told me the welcome home perk was for first-time buyers only. Perhaps things have changed? Or maybe it's because I have multiple contracts (this wouldn't have been "just" my second contract)? In any event, we wound up getting the reservation we wanted, so it turned out to be a non-issue....

They have…this started with PVB tower sales for everyone.
